Gets very busy, like almost everything in Selva. Very good food, slightly overpriced. The first day the waitress was fantastic, the second day when she wasn't there the experience was a bit disappointing.

Our group of 6 persons travelled from Thailand and stayed in Val Gardena for 5 days. We were looking for the best restaurants for dinner experience like locals. We walked around to find the best one but they were all booked. We decided to find from google and found that there was one a bit outside the town center was recommended. We walked 2 mins from town center to this restaurant, Speckkeller. We found that our decision to choose Speckkeller was truly correct. We were enjoyed our excellent food there. The quality and taste of food they cooked was very very good. The service was excellent. Spekkeller is our top recommend when you are at Val Gardena.

WORST FILLET STEAK EVER. Everything seemed perfect until I got my beet fillet (30 euros) - something was not right.... it had an unfamiliar and awful taste... tasted a bit like liver. I had plenty of fillet steak in my life... you win some you lose some, but they all taste like beef fillet...this was different. The waitress didn’t really care to understand that - it was easier for her to say it’s my taste and not their bad meat.

This is a family run very traditional Tirolean restaurant. The family work every shift and are very welcoming to all guests. The food portions are bigger than you expect so save room for plenty. I also recommend the Hugo Cocktail, homemade grappa and gin.
