Dal punto di vista umano è la migliore biblioteca della zona, senza dubbio, la sua unica pecca è la location: sono sostanzialmente in un seminterrato poco areato e poco luminoso, con PC lenti (più volte li ho trovati in balia di guati di natura tecnica) e con evidenti problemi di spazio e pulizia. La consiglio per lo staff, la sconsiglio per il posto. Staff always polite and helpful, wide choice of books even if, at times, put in a bad state due to wear. From a human point of view it is the best library in the area, undoubtedly, its only flaw is the location: they are basically in a poorly ventilated and dimly lit basement, with slow PCs (several times I found them at the mercy of technical problems. ) and with obvious problems of space and cleanliness. I recommend it for the staff, I don't recommend it for the place.
F	Filiberto Cattaneo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La grande forza di questa biblioteca è il personale: Diana, Corrado, Alessio e tutti i ragazzi che di volta in volta li aiutano, il grande punto di debolezza è invece la location. È situata in quello che definirei un seminterrato, sotto la scuola media del paese, con ambienti spesso angusti e poco puliti. Ha un'ottima fornitura di libri e di film, che sono però alle volte tenuti in condizioni pessime (i libri perdono le pagine, i dvd non si vedono) data probabilmente l'inciviltà di talune persone ma, ne sono abbastanza certo, data anche la normale usura del tempo e la conseguente mancata sostituzione (alcuni libri sono ancora degli anni '70, e sono ormai letteralmente a pezzi!!!!!!). Le novità sono frequenti, ed è facile trovarle perché vengono tenute in scaffali appostiti vicino all'ingresso. Il personale, che come ho detto è il punto di forza di questa biblioteca, è sempre gentilissimo e molto competente. Si sono sempre fatti in quattro per venire incontro ad ogni mia richiesta, anche non propriamente legata al solo prestito di libri o film. Conclusione: la consiglio, nonostante tutto, per il personale, di così non ne trovate altrove. The great strength of this library is the staff: Diana, Corrado, Alessio and all the guys who help them from time to time, the great weakness is the location. It is located in what I would call a basement, below the town's middle school, with often cramped and not very clean rooms. It has an excellent supply of books and films, which are however sometimes kept in poor condition (the books lose their pages, the DVDs are not seen) probably due to the incivility of some people but, I am quite sure, also given the normal wear and tear of time and the consequent failure to replace (some books are still from the 70s, and are now literally in pieces !!!!!!). The novelties are frequent, and it is easy to find them because they are kept in shelves placed near the entrance. The staff, which as I said is the strong point of this library, is always very kind and very competent. They always went out of their way to meet my every request, even if not strictly related to the loan of books or films. Conclusion: I recommend it, despite everything, for the staff, so you can't find it elsewhere.
W	Wonders of Como on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La nuova sede si è fatta desiderare, ma è davvero molto bella! Spaziosa, calda e luminosa offre divanetti, sale studio e tanti tanti libri, mentre il personale è gentile e disponibile come è sempre stato. Ho trovato i pavimenti un po' sporchi e alcuni libri un po' polverosi. I protocolli Covid vengono rispettati, anche se gruppi di bambini girano per la biblioteca con la mascherina abbassata e facendo molto baccano.. The new location has been desired, but it is really very beautiful! Spacious, warm and bright, it offers sofas, study rooms and many, many books, while the staff is as kind and helpful as it has always been. I found the floors a bit dirty and some books a bit dusty. Covid protocols are respected, even if groups of children wander around the library with the mask down and making a lot of noise ..
