★ ★ ★ ★ ★ BE AWARE OF ZTL IN ITALIA AND FEES FOR FINE FROM RENTING COMPANY ! This company like many others in Italia charge you 73€ for every fine you got during your trip (administrative services they say...), meaning you have to pay your fine afterwards. And if you're aware about ZTL, you will get value for your money (just look on internet).

2d time booked my car with them and all my information saved safely never released to anyone or commercial but only personal from sicily by car s p a to me.
No waiting time everything setup before arrive and i will refere any booking to anyone from australia travel to messina sicily

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place was shut for a long lunch when I arrived. Then there were a number of other customers and the atmosphere was quite tense at one point. I signed for a large deposit on the car, assuming it would be a new car. The example car was a 3-door Citroen C1; I was given an old, grubby 5-door Fiat Panda. There was no screen wash in the car and it doesn't go over 104km/h happily.
The Tomtom device that I paid extra for is 31 months out-of-date which has led to numerous confusing situations.
If I get the deposit back with minimal fuss, this will be an average experience. If not, it will be terrible.
Update: deposit returned with no fuss.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good car which was clean and well maintained, and helpful staff. We did not choose the smallest car, and felt this was a wise decision as it was higher off the ground than expected, which was helpful dealing with pot-holes.
I will use Sicily by Car again the next time we are in Sicily.
