Eppure il Sert di Siracusa che opera dal 1981 si é contraddistinto da sempre per correttezza metodologica e umanitá verso gli utenti, sino ad aiutarli economicamente mettendo gli operatori mani alle proprie tasche. E' difficile leggere critiche tanto false e restare tuttavia zitti. Gli utenti Sert hanno una sala d'aspetto climatizzata, e attendono in relazione ad altri colloqui che gli operatori in quel momento stanno eseguendo. Medici e assistenti sociali, in particolare, si prodigano da sempre ed ogni giorno affinché le cure siano le più efficaci, ma ad un tempo non possono non osservare chi spaccia davanti al Sert, chi pensa di campare vendendo il metadone in affido e chi col farmaco fa misuro e diversione. E' ovvio che in questi casi l'operatore Sert é visto malamente da chi pensa di utilizzare il servizio a fini deleteri per sé e per gli altri. Tutto in scienza e coscienza, piaccia o no.
