La cosa più bella è stata la vista spettacolare dal Passo Sella dove si passa venendo dalla Val Gardena. There are definitely more interesting things to do in the area and not even the shadow of marmots. The most beautiful thing was the spectacular view from the Sella Pass where you pass coming from Val Gardena.

E sopratutto il punto indicato è il punto esatto nel quale si troveranno queste tenerissime creature. Parlando della mia esperienza sono arrivato qui a piedi dal mio hotel che dista quasi 5km ma sulla strada appena inizia il sentiero si può tranquillamente parcheggiare. Sono andato alla mattina presto verso le 7/7:30 e c’erano già 5/6 persone. Le marmotte non sono particolarmente intimorite dall’uomo specialmente se gli si offre delle verdure o frutta dato che sono erbivore ma per rispetto loro, io non ho portato nulla. Spuntano un po’ ovunque e non c’è un punto fisso da cui escono. Non sapendo come si evolve la situazione di presenze nelle ore successive, consiglio semplicemente di andarci la mattina presto e soprattutto SENZA CANI/GATTI o altri animali. The path to reach the exact spot where the marmots are is more or less easy. And above all, the indicated point is the exact point in which these tender creatures will be found. Speaking of my experience, I arrived here on foot from my hotel which is almost 5km away but on the road as soon as the path begins you can safely park. I went early in the morning around 7/7: 30 and there were already 5/6 people. Marmots are not particularly intimidated by humans, especially if they are offered vegetables or fruit since they are herbivores but out of respect for them, I didn't bring anything. They pop up almost everywhere and there is no fixed point from which they come out. Not knowing how the attendance situation evolves in the following hours, I simply recommend going there early in the morning and above all WITHOUT DOGS / CATS or other animals.

Ci si può arrivare in mezz'ora parcheggiando vicino al ristorante Pian Schiavaneis o al Rifugio Monti Pallidi, o scendendo dal pullman per il passo Sella a Pian Schiavaneis. In alternativa potete arrivare a piedi da Canazei in un paio d'ore. Oltre alle marmotte (purtroppo abbiamo visto solo le tane perchè pioveva). potrete ammirare le bellissime cascate e le pareti del Sas Pordoi e delle torri del Sella. Se siete appassionati di arrampicata troverete anche una bellissima palestra su falesia, abbastanza tecnica. The trail is easy to reach. You can get there in half an hour by parking near the Pian Schiavaneis restaurant or the Monti Pallidi Refuge, or by getting off the bus for the Sella pass in Pian Schiavaneis. Alternatively, you can walk from Canazei in a couple of hours. In addition to the marmots (unfortunately we only saw the burrows because it was raining). you can admire the beautiful waterfalls and the walls of Sas Pordoi and the Sella towers. If you are passionate about climbing you will also find a beautiful gym on the cliff, quite technical.
