2.5 km uphill path which covers an altitude difference of about 600m. Part in the woods, part on the coast and part with a staircase (not pleasant for those suffering from vertigo). both senses (about 4 hours in total)

Beautiful path that starts from the town of Brentino and leads to the sanctuary of the Madonna della corona. The path of steps / steps is quite wide, safe, not too demanding but with a spectacular view of both the sanctuary and the Adige valley. I highly recommend it and for the lazy you can opt to get to the sanctuary by car and in 5/10 minutes of paved road + tunnel.

The path that in about two hours (at a slow pace and with numerous stops) leads to the Sanctuary of the Crown is very beautiful (the only drawback is the noise of the highway up to about halfway) but it is very demanding, the climbs are steep, almost always with stone steps, with very little flat part: there are about 650 meters of difference in height in about 3 km of path and last effort the stairway of the last stretch .... I really struggled but getting to the Sanctuary is really priceless. You need good shoes, water (not found on the path, only at the Sanctuary) and for those like me who struggle more with the use of sticks. The descent is faster (my husband, a tireless walker made it in 40 minutes). We need training, in short ...

Very nice trail that offers a breathtaking view. At the top you can see the church of the Madonna della Corona. Path not too demanding but you need to have a little training. It is all made up of stone steps. I recommend comfortable shoes and / or trekking clothing.

For those arriving in Italy from northern countries, in particular Austria and Germany, one of the most popular routes is certainly the Brenner Pass which runs through the valley of the Adige river, the second longest river in Italy. This valley leads to Verona passing alongside Lake Garda, a very popular tourist destination. The Adige valley strikes those who pass through it for the multitude of castles and fortresses, perched on strategic and dominant points, which served to defend the territory and control commercial traffic. But on one of these walls, set inside the rock, in a place that was inaccessible for a long time, there is a sanctuary dedicated to the Madonna della Corona. Now there is a road, which, coming from above, makes it much easier to get to the sanctuary even if there is always a bit of walking. Mariacristina and I chose the traditional route, the one that was traveled in antiquity, a path that climbs the mountain with 1614 high steps, which allow you to overcome the 600 meters of difference in height between the town of Brentino and the sanctuary. We arrive in Brentino, a tiny town, which owes its vitality above all to the path of hope that leads to the sanctuary. The houses are embellished with flowers and drawings on the walls. The path starts with a staircase next to a source. The villagers warn us that this is the only point where you can see the sanctuary because the path does not allow any vision except when you arrive practically in the vicinity. We see it far away and we fear we won't be able to reach it, it will take a lot of will and a lot of effort. We go up the ramps for an hour and a quarter and, first in the middle of the woods and then on stairways carved directly into the rock. As announced the Sanctuary we see it when coming out from behind a rocky wall, with metal safety ropes, we leave the last trees of the wood and enter the gorge on which the sanctuary stands. We are welcomed by the songs of pilgrims inside the church which are amplified by the rock walls. We have dealt with it as a tourist, but for those who face it with a religious spirit, the atmosphere that surrounds it certainly has something mystical that invites prayer and reflection. In all honesty, we too have been involved in this atmosphere that invites meditation and we have been kidnapped from inside the sanctuary which has the rock of the mountain as its walls and roof. The sanctuary, as a chapel, already existed around the year 1000 AD. and subsequently always enlarged over the centuries up to the current dimensions and shapes dating back to the 70s of the last century. There is venerated an image of the Madonna, which in tradition would have miraculously appeared in that place from Rhodes around 1500, but apparently it was donated by some nobleman to the sanctuary. Therefore, if you are a tourist coming from the north and heading towards the south of our country and you plan to rest a little on the long journey, I recommend you to visit this place of reflection and spirituality, you will better prepare yourself for summer adventures on our beautiful beaches. Technical notes: difference in altitude about 600 meters, between the round trip about 3200 steps, 1 hour and 30 minutes outward and an hour and ten back, including the time needed for photos.

Wonderful experience! The path of hope is very tiring, but believe me it is really worth it ? the sanctuary is an architectural jewel set in the rock of monte baldo, you are truly amazed at so much beauty in front of your eyes! The sanctuary can be reached in two ways: 1- along the path of hope, which begins in the small town of Brentino Belluno, very well signposted, so as you enter the town you will immediately see two fairly large free parking lots, there you can safely leave your car and start following the route signs . I do not recommend doing it with children who are too young, not used to walking a lot and above all because you should load them up and add further effort to the effort ... Unless you are very trained people and with a beastly physical condition! For the same reason, I do not recommend taking this path even for elderly people or people with heart problems. Keep in mind that the minimum travel time is a minimum of two hours, not taking into account the stops to catch your breath. 2- Arrive by car in Spiazzi di Brentino. There you will have to look for where to park, once you have found accommodation for the car you can take the shuttle that takes you to the sanctuary or take a small path on foot that will take you to the sanctuary within 15 minutes.

Beautiful path that starts at the end of the town of Brentino. A first staircase then gives way to the stepped path in the woods. With a constant ascent you pass to a first lookout where a cross is placed.Along the path there are images of the mysteries for those who want to take a path of faith for others a nice excursion with the final goal the vision and visit of a beautiful sanctuary set in the rock and overhanging an infinite valley.
