M	Mariano Maistrello on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ È sempre molto emozionante passeggiare su una ex linea ferriviaria in montagna. Se poi si tratta del mitico trenino della Valgardena èil massimo! Realizzata nel 1915 in soli 5 mesi (!!!) grazie a migliaia di prigionieri di guerra per la maggior parte russi, è un monumento al sacrificio umano ma anche un capolavoro di ingegneria ferroviaria con un dislivello di oltre 1000 mt tra Ponte Gardena e Plan de Gralba a Selva Valgardena! It is always very exciting to walk on a former railway line in the mountains. And if it is the legendary train of Valgardena it is the best! Built in 1915 in just 5 months (!!!) thanks to thousands of mostly Russian prisoners of war, it is a monument to human sacrifice but also a masterpiece of railway engineering with a difference in height of over 1000 meters between Ponte Gardena and Plan de Gralba in Selva Valgardena!

Lo abbiamo percorso, il top sarebbe avere una guida che ti spiega tutta la storia del trenino e della vecchia ferrovia, che unisce i paesini, ora il percorso è una lunga passeggiata, dove trovi man mano foto e racconti sul trenino che univa selva, Santa Cristina Ortisei. Passeggiata carina e panoramica, dove trovi anche di tanto in tanto spazi dedicati ai bambini, piccoli parchetto con giochi. A discovery full of history ... F	Fabio on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il sentiero del Trenino è un percorso adatto a tutti che da S.Cristina arriva fino ad Ortisei. Riprende (in parte) l’antico tracciato della ferrovia e durante il cammino spiega in maniera piuttosto approfondita la storia di quest’opera. La linea ferroviaria, costruita utilizzando i prigionieri russi in tempi di guerra, fu realizzata per il trasporto delle armi e delle truppe al fronte. Nel periodo post bellico fu utilizzata per trasporti commerciali e per fini turistici ma fu in seguito smantellata per i costi troppo alti. Il tracciato percorribile anche con un passeggino è abbastanza semplice anche se in alcuni punti occorre attraversare la strada. Molto bello il tunnel che per qualche centinaio di metri attraversa S.Cristina. Al suo interno una serie di pannelli informativi spiegano la storia del treno e della ferrovia. Da vedere!
