Il commissario alla ricostruzione Farabollini alla cerimonia. È tempo di inaugurazione per la ricostruita scuola Carducci-Purgotti di via Fonti Coperte. La storica scuola secondaria di primo grado, è stata abbattuta per fare largo a un edificio completamente rinnovato e adeguato sismicamente. Un lavoro lungo dieci mesi, coordinato dal Comune, ma anche strettamente condiviso con le famiglie e la scuola per un progetto da 4,6, milioni, con i fondi della ricostruzione post sisma. E dopo un lungo, in parte travagliato percorso (a causa, per esempio, del fallimento di un'azienda fornitrice) il cantiere è arrivato a conclusione. Venerdì 24 gennaio, ore 11.30, alla presenza del commissario straordinario per la ricostruzione, Piero Farabollini, il taglio del nastro. L'edificio ospita 12 aule da 25 alunni, 8 laboratori, 2 aule per le attività di sostegno, 2 sale riunioni, come riporta il sito del Comune di Perugia "2 uffici per la gestione didattica più sala di aspetto; 1 reception (personale ATA) e n. 2 punti di controllo (personale ATA); 1 sala lettura (biblioteca); 6 blocchi bagni studenti (ogni blocco prevede n. 2 bagni uomini + n. 2 bagni donne con antibagno + n.1 bagno per diversamente abile); 3 blocchi servizi per insegnanti; 1 spogliatoio per insegnanti; 1 locale lavanderia; 2 depositi/ archivi; 1 palestra di categoria A1; 2 spogliatoi per studenti; 1 spogliatoio insegnanti di motoria; 1 locale per visite mediche; 2 depositi per attrezzi palestra; 1 locale tecnico unità trattamento aria per la palestra; 1 locale tecnico in copertura (scoperto); 1 tetto verde (sopra palestra) utilizzabile come ulteriore laboratorio didattico per la gestione del verde urbano; 2 ascensori di dimensione adeguata per i diversamente abili; 2 corpi scala, di cui uno esterna di emergenza per la sicurezza antincendio; una pensilina esterna per la protezione da agenti atmosferici della scala di acceso alla palestra; 5 posti auto standard e n. 1 posto auto per diversamente abile; 1 rastrelliera per biciclette".
