L	Luciano Foti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il castello dei nobili Hendl è un bel esempio di recupero. Fino a 50 anni fa il castello era di fatto un rudere distrutto da un paio di incendi. Poi l'intervento dello Stato ha avviato il recupero e oggi è in gestione al comune di Castelbello. Il castello vale la visita. La visita è guidata e la persona che ci ha accompagnato era competente ed entusiasta del suo lavoro. Il castello è ricostruito, in alcune parti su indizi lasciate dai legni carbonizzati. Molto bella la cappella con dipinti originali risparmiati dalle fiamme. The Hendl Noble Castle is a fine example of recovery. Until 50 years ago the castle was in fact a ruin destroyed by a couple of fires. Then the State intervention started the recovery and today it is managed by the municipality of Castelbello. The castle is worth the visit. The visit is guided and the person who accompanied us was competent and enthusiastic about his work. The castle is rebuilt, in some parts on clues left by the charred woods. Very beautiful is the chapel with original paintings saved from the flames.

R	Ruggero Frusca on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La visita guidata ci ha accompagnato in un viaggio attraverso i secoli dalla prima fondazione del maniero su questa roccia aggettante sul corso dell'adige ai giorni nostri, ripercorrendo gli ampliamenti intervenuti insieme alle vicende delle casate che lo hanno abitato (von Montalban i fondatori nel 1200 e von Hendl che lo occuparono dal 1531). Agli inizi del 1800 Il castello ha subito profondi danneggiamenti a causa di intervenuti incendi. Entrato in possesso statale nel 1956 sono stati realizzati interventi di recupero completati nel 1995. Oggi è completamente restaurato ed è visitabile in molte delle sue zone: la cucina con l'adiacente sala da pranzo, le sale (ora) espositive al primo e secondo piano, la cappella e la sottostante cantina. Un luogo suggestivo da conoscere sé di passaggio in Val Venosta.
