★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Si trova salendo verso Greccio, prima di arrivare al borgo. C'è una scalinata per arrivare al santuario ma non sono molte scale e si salgono facilmente. Il santuario è all'interno di una grotta molto suggestiva, dove San Francesco inventò il primo presepe, e proseguendo la visita si scopriranno alcune stanze dove il santo viveva e pregava, presepi molto particolari di nazionalita diverse. Usciti dal santuario c'è la chiesa con suggestive rappresentazioni della crocefissione di Gesù e un bellissimo altare.
It is found climbing towards Greccio, before arriving at the village. There is a staircase to get to the sanctuary but there are not many stairs and they are easy to climb. The sanctuary is inside a very suggestive cave, where St. Francis invented the first crib, and continuing the visit you will discover some rooms where the saint lived and prayed, very particular cribs of different nationalities. Leaving the sanctuary there is the church with suggestive representations of the crucifixion of Jesus and a beautiful altar.
