★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice picturesque monastery build on the edge of a rock that definitely is worth a visit, if you are in the area. You can get there by car or by boat. If you visit by car you will find plenty of parking spaces unless you're visiting during high season where the place is full of people.
The entrance used to be free, now there is a 5€ ticket.
Recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Once again a nice place by the water. Like many other religious places it is well maintained and located in a prime location.
Unlike many other sites you can access the main buildings by elevator. We took the stairs but I thought it was nice to give access to all.
It’s fairly a small place to visit. There are some tables where you can have a picnic with a nice view of the Lake.
Make sure you bring cash because they don’t take credit cards.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very nice place to visit, but a bit overrated. 5e ticket. Walking the stairs was okay even in heavy rain, just a little slippery. They views must be amazing, but we visited on a miserable, cloudy and rainy day. The little church is beautiful and the place overall quite impressive. There is not much to read about the monastery. I think i’s a good stop when you are in the area. Good parking. But I can imagine it’s difficult to find a spot when the weather is good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This star isn't for the place that is amazing, is for the poor organisation, everything was broken even for validate tickets, we went to take the elevator and it took money without.QR code , so we had to come back for sort it out the situation. Is a pity such a nice place

And also to see the beautiful view of Lago Maggiore.In past there was no ticket for walking till down to see the lake view ..But during recent days they collect 5€ per head in entrance to enter down...And also if you find difficult to climb up the stairs, there is the lift service where we need to pay 1€ per head .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were there on a quiet day, that was nice. It is worth the 5 euro entrance fee. There is a comfortable walking path to the cloister in the rocks. I think it is even more exciting to visit by boat!
