★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questa bella chiesa fu costruita nel XII secolo al posto di uno ospizio altomedievale che accoglieva i pellegrini diretti a Santiago de Compostela. Nella seconda metà del XIV secolo furono gli Agostiniani ad erigere l'originale campanile ettagonale, mentre con l'arrivo dei domenicani nel 1428 fu costruito il convento composto originariamente da due chiostri. L'interno a tre navate è suddiviso su tre piani. L'altare sopraelevato si raggiunge tramite un'ampia scalinata in marmo. Sotto l'altare si trova la cripta denominata Santa Corona in quanto originariamente custodiva la porzione della Sacra Spina di Gesù ora nella Pieve di Santa Maria Assunta.
Tra le molte opere, si segnalano le due vetrate di Ambrogino da Tormoli (1492) situate nell'abside, il coro ligneo cinquecentesco, il gruppo scultoreo del "Compianto sul Cristo morto" attribuito ad Agostino de Fondulis, la tela della "Caduta di Cristo sotto la croce" di Grazio Cossali, il "Cristo in gloria" attribuito ad uno dei fratelli Scanzi e gli affreschi della volta di Francesco e Giovanni Battista Natali.

 This beautiful church was built in the 12th century in place of an early medieval hospice that welcomed pilgrims heading to Santiago de Compostela. In the second half of the fourteenth century the Augustinians erected the original heptagonal bell tower, while with the arrival of the Dominicans in 1428 the convent originally composed of two cloisters was built. The interior with three naves is divided over three floors. The raised altar can be reached via a large marble staircase. Below the altar is the crypt called Santa Corona as it originally held the portion of the Sacred Spine of Jesus now in the Parish Church of Santa Maria Assunta.
Among the many works, we note the two stained glass windows of Ambrogino da Tormoli (1492) located in the apse, the sixteenth-century wooden choir, the sculptural group of the "Lamentation over the Dead Christ" attributed to Agostino de Fondulis, the painting of the "Fall of Christ under the cross "of Grazio Cossali, the" Christ in glory "attributed to one of the Scanzi brothers and the frescoes of the vault by Francesco and Giovanni Battista Natali.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa di San Giacomo nasce originariamente come un luogo di sosta dei pellegrini e nel XIV secolo diventa un convento degli agostiniani. Il culmine della sua importanza lo raggiunge con i domenicani che si insediano nel XV sec. Pregevoli all'interno una pietà in terracotta policroma e le vetrate colorate. Contiene le spoglie di Stefana Quinzani, domenicana, venerata come beata dalla Chiesa cattolica. Molto belli gli affreschi.
The church of San Giacomo was originally born as a resting place for pilgrims and in the fourteenth century it became a convent of the Augustinians. The peak of its importance reaches it with the Dominicans who settled in the fifteenth century. Inside there is a polychrome terracotta pieta and stained glass windows. It contains the remains of Stefana Quinzani, a Dominican, venerated as blessed by the Catholic Church. The frescoes are very beautiful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Affascina l'imponente scalinata centrale, completa di baluastre, che sale al presbiterio. Interessanti sono gli affreschi delle volte opera del 1696 dei pittori della famiglia Natali e coro ligneo opera di fra Federico e fra Damiano da Bergamo. L'interno a navata unica a firme barocche e completa di cinque cappelle laterali. La prima cappella a destra conserva il gruppo di cotto del "Compianto di Cristo" attribuito ad Agostino Fonduli. Notevole è la torre campanaria ottogonale edificata dagli agostiniani nella loro presenza nel triennio 1548-1550.
The imposing central staircase, complete with baluasters, which rises to the presbytery is fascinating. Interesting are the frescoes on the vaults by the painters of the Natali family from 1696 and the wooden choir by Fra Federico and Fra Damiano da Bergamo. The interior with a single nave with Baroque signatures and complete with five side chapels. The first chapel on the right preserves the terracotta group of the "Compianto di Cristo" attributed to Agostino Fonduli. Noteworthy is the octagonal bell tower built by the Augustinians in their presence in the three-year period 1548-1550.
