★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Posto da visitare assolutamente, un grande giardino immerso nel verde e frastagliata natura che si affaccia prepotentemente sullo stretto, si insidia un antico monastero da cui il piccolo borgo prende il nome, sono da ammirare le costruzioni abitative in pietra a secco e le varie " rughe" dove le umili case fanno da cornice insieme alle terrazze di vigneti che danno lustro e originalità ad un prodotto, il " vino di San Filippo" che senza dubbio nell enogastronomia regionale rappresenta una eccellenza.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il paese di San Filippo è situato a 3 km dalla costa di Pellaro, 10,95 km a sud dal Comune di Reggio Calabria. Confina con il Comune di Motta San Giovanni ed è costeggiato dalla vallata Fiumarella, attravarsato dall'omonimo torrente. È composto da circa 500 abitanti che popolano il paese costeggiando l'unica strada che parte da Via Sopralume (svincolo all'altezza del Km 7 della Strada Statale 106 Jonica) per circa 3 km fino alla piazza del paese che segna la fine del percorso.
The town of San Filippo is located 3 km from the Pellaro coast, 10.95 km south from the municipality of Reggio Calabria. It borders with the Municipality of Motta San Giovanni and is bordered by the Fiumarella valley, crossed by the stream of the same name. It is made up of about 500 inhabitants who populate the town along the only road that starts from Via Sopralume (junction at Km 7 of the Strada Statale 106 Jonica) for about 3 km up to the town square which marks the end of the route.
