β β β β β Really nice Sushi place, the staff is very nice and the food is really good with various types of Japanese dishes, not only sushi. The only thing us that the price are a bit expensive and the dishes are small and not always enough.

β β β β β A solid, excellent Japanese dining experience. I've only had sushi with fish this fresh in Tokyo, Japan, and at Sakana you can find rare and delicious cuts of fish like otoro, the fatty tuna which literally melts in your pith. Besides from supremely executed sushi, cooked dishes are tasty and fun, with delicious soups (ramen and soba), fried dishes and specialties such as the grilled tuna cheek. As in real Japanese restaurants they serve Asahi beer on tap, and, added bonus, their desserts are fun and yummy, very unusual for a Japanese restaurant. Don't be fooled by the many other non-legit wannabe Japanese restaurants in the neighborhood, Sakana is the real deal. Book a table because the place is packed even on night you might consider "slow".

β β β β β Might be good for Rome but compared to major cities in North America and Asia, this sushi is pretty mediocre and not worth the price. If youβre not from Italy, I would hold off on your sushi craving unless you got money to burn.

β β β β β This is perhaps the best sushi place in Rome in terms of variety on the menu. There were items on the menu I had not seen in any other sushi place. I have not been to Japan so I can't speak to its authenticity of those new dishes but they were delicious!! Also the best dumplings!

β β β β β Really expensive and limited selection. Only picked a few pieces because they just too small. Also ordered a special roll which was actually baked with sauce. This was very rich and very salty. However, Fish was fresh and staff was friendly.
