Io sono nato in questa via e qui venivo a giocare da bambino. It is known by the Vogheresi as "Red Church". It is the shrine of the Italian Cavalry and inside there are the coats of arms of all the Regiments. I was born in this street and came here to play as a child.

Chiesa piccola posta al di sotto del suolo stradale a dimostrazione che la città è cresciuta sulle macerie di se stessa . Il cortile é tappezzato dagli stemmi dei vari reggimenti di cavalleria d'Italia. Tipiche le formelle verde acqua che sono poste sotto il tetto. Questa chiesa, sorta in epoca longobarda nell'VIII secolo per opera dei monaci colombaniani dell'abbazia di San Colombano di Bobbio, presenta una storia molto singolare: dopo essere stata sconsacrata nel 1805, diventò deposito delle polveri per i militari e successivamente fu abbandonata e quasi distrutta. Dopo i necessari lavori di restauro, resi possibili solamente grazie ai contributi di enti e di privati, è divenuta il tempio sacrario della Cavalleria Italiana con intitolazione ai santi Ilario (titolare originario della chiesa) e Giorgio (patrono dell'Arma di cavalleria italiana). Essa, inoltre, venne chiamata "chiesa rossa" per via del colore dei suoi mattoni. In memoria di chi ha fatto grande l'Italia. Grazie! The church of the Italian Cavalry Corps is the oldest in Voghera.
