D	Domi Nika on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L'edificio fu costruito tra il 1279 e il 1285 dagli Eremitani e successivamente ingrandito nel 1327. La facciata in pietra, semplice ed elegante, ha un bel portale della fine del secolo XIII con fasci di colonnine e ricchi capitelli. L'interno è formato da una grande aula coperta con capriate lignee a vista e terminante con un'abside poligonale con volta costolonata; a destra si affianca la navata minore, esito dell'ampliamento trecentesco che riunisce una serie di cappelle. Le pareti sono ricche di affreschi dei secoli XIV, XV e XVI. In controfacciata, a destra del portale, si trova una graziosa Madonna col Bambino di scuola umbra dei primi del '400 e a sinistra Madonna della Misericordia, affresco coevo al precedente ma con caratteri della scuola eugubina. Nella 5ª cappella destra, frammenti di affreschi del pittore detto Espressionista Gozzolesco, seguace di Benozzo Bozzoli. Nella 6ª cappella, altri frammenti di affreschi di Pier Antonio Mezzastris e, forse, di Francesco Melanzio (volto di S. Chiara). Sopra l'altare maggiore, Crocifisso ligneo del secolo XV. All'interno della chiesa, sull'unica navata destra in una teca sono conservati i "resti mortali" delle Beate Chiarella ed Illuminata, più avanti sulla stessa parete sempre in una teca lignea è visibile il corpo mummificato di un pellegrino medioevale al quale è legata la Leggenda del Beato Pellegrino di Montefalco The building was built between 1279 and 1285 by the Eremitani and subsequently enlarged in 1327. The stone facade, simple and elegant, has a beautiful portal from the end of the 13th century with bundles of small columns and rich capitals. The interior consists of a large hall covered with exposed wooden trusses and ending with a polygonal apse with a ribbed vault; on the right is the minor nave, the result of the fourteenth-century extension that brings together a series of chapels. The walls are full of frescoes from the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries. On the counter-façade, to the right of the portal, there is a graceful Madonna and Child from the Umbrian school of the early 1400s and to the left Madonna della Misericordia, a contemporary fresco but with characters from the Eugubian school. In the 5th chapel on the right, fragments of frescoes by the painter called Expressionist Gozzolesco, a follower of Benozzo Bozzoli. In the 6th chapel, other fragments of frescoes by Pier Antonio Mezzastris and, perhaps, by Francesco Melanzio (face of S. Chiara). Above the main altar, a wooden crucifix from the 15th century.
