We were a bit nervous about rowing as we are not experienced, but they made us feel really safe and made sure we got a memorable experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Much better than paying for a €80 gondola experience!!!! The class here teaches you how to row from the front and the back of the boat. Jane was such a lovely guide and she took us along the canals and also the lagoon. She was so friendly and made the entire experience so relaxing. They've been running these classes for 10 years and are super experienced. When you meet them, go to the meeting point at the bridge and just wait until one of the staff shows up as there is no physical shop front. The boat is beautiful too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a fantastic experience with our instructor for this activity - one of the most uniquely Venetian activities we could have possibly dreamed of - a 90 minute, private rowing lesson with a trained instructor that allowed us to row a two person batella around the canals and even into the open waters of the lagoon.
Our instructor, Giulia, was very knowledgeable about all of the different crafts and styles of rowing and boating that exist, and made us really comfortable and confident despite having no experience rowing. She was very friendly and welcoming, and shared a lot of tips and facts about the city.
All in all, we couldn’t be happier with our experience! Would recommend to anyone who wants to have a once in a lifetime activity in Venice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best way to experience Venice! For the same price as an official gondola ride of 30min, you get to row your own for 90min! After a brief introduction by our friendly instructor, we went out for a tour on the lagoon and some quieter canals. It's an odd way of rowing at first, but you get used it pretty quickly. Really fun and unique experience!
