Family run business, very friendly service, attentive and very accomodating, they made us feel special. Seafood is obviously the king, well created menu with nothing too complicated or too many choices. As starters we had the mussels saute’ which was a very abundant portion, fresh mussels, delicious tomato sauce, and the fasolari saute’ which it was a portion a bit small instead, only 6 pieces, I would have expected more considering the price, however the freshness of the product was excellent. Oysters were reasonably cheap and very good quality, big shells and juicy meat, however the β€œoyster liquor” was not present, it must have been dumped or rinsed, I would advise to whoever opened those oysters to carefully preserve that natural β€œjuice” present inside the oyster, that will keep the oyster fresh and alive even out of the water and MUST be present when served at a table. As a first course an amazing sea urchin pasta, a must try, good sized portion with a generous amount of sea urchin as a condiment, it was tasty and well balanced, the pasta was a fresh β€œspaghettone” some don’t like fresh pasta with seafood but I must say I was surprised and happy about the outcome. Grilled Gamberi di Mazara were also fresh and well cooked, big sized whole prawns, normal portion with 4 big prawns. An ice cream as dessert served in a flute, pleasant. Wine was fresh and lively, a local sicilian vineyard from a blend of native vines, was recommended by the waiter, excellent choice. During our dining experience a complaint from another table next to us messed up the nice mood of the evening, the woman who responded to the complaint (owner) should have managed it better instead of kept arguing and provoking, sometimes, even if the customer is wrong the way of managing the complaint can put the business in disrepute and affect other customers experience, like in our case. Price was a bit more expensive than the usual local restaurants in the area, however it was reasonable. I have had the chance to chat with the chef owner and recommended to introduce a selection of seafood crudite’ (tartare and ceviche) and he replying said that It is hard to find daily fresh seafood to be able to introduce a starter like that in the menu and it would be dependant on availability only, I reply to the owner saying: we are in Sicily and there is fresh seafood available at every corner, you must find the product even if that involves sourcing it from further areas such as Sciacca or Mazara, and therefore that is not a good excuse. Bottom line, very good restaurant definitely above average, however if you wish to maintain and justify those prices, which are also way above the average, you will need improvements.

Lovely little restaurant outside of Palermo, well worth the trip, generous portions of fresh seafood! Amazing organic local wine. Service was great, baby friendly, very accommodating with our little one.

We went for lunch in this restaurant as it was the number one of TripAdvisor. The service and the food was good (that s the reason of the 4 stars). On a separate note, the prices are a bit high compared to the average of Sferracavallo and there s no sea view as the outside terrace is on the road where cars are parked. Not sure we would come back, next time probably we will opt for the cheaper restaurants along the seaside. Anyway it was a good experience

Not good at all. We went there because of the reviews, asked for their specialty and it was the β€œvulcanica” pasta, which was horrible, 3 people in our table couldn’t eat it. Other tables were complaining about their food as well. It tasted like nothing, was extremely salty and we had to return our dishes without eating a third of it, they denied to change for another, horrible experience. DON’T RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Small family-run delicious restaurant 50 steps away from the seaside, serving fresh local seafood dishes, prepared with care and focus on quality, building on tradition, but not compromising on innovation. The Squid Ink Spaghetti with sea urchin, cuttlefish and prawns are just finger-licking good. If you are in Mondello it is a 20 mins away by bus: don't miss it!

We walked in for lunch and the host was very friendly to seat us before her next reservation. Seafood was very fresh and the sauce for it was very good. Rich wine + tomato + olive oil + garlic combo. Spaghetti ai ricci was very thick and buttery. They were generous with the ricci. Highly recommend!

We had lunch here today and it was really great!! I had the squid ink pasta with sea urchin and it was amazing!! The seafood is fresh and the dish tastes really good. It was full of flavour and seafood goodness. The owners are very nice. The food and wine recommendations (which we ordered) are perfect. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
