β β β β β Refused to seat me at an empty table outdoors because it's a "table for 2". I was put in a corner indoors to make space for "more valuable customers". 35 minute wait for the first plate to arrive. Lucia was very friendly, who took orders and served, but the head of house was scummy and unfriendly. 16 euros for a pasta, total tourist trap.

But maybe better not order the sundried fish or you'll end up in a nasty, childish fight with the owner as we saw happen ?

β β β β β Not bad. Not exceptional. Food was well made, flavorful and balanced. Not the freshest sea food but itβs august and the fishermen are not allowed to fish. So I excuse that. That does not mean, however, that the sea food was stale. It was definitely good quality, frozen within hours, fresh. And had no hint of being stale. We tried the stock fish and the mix fried sea food. Both were decently done. The attention paid to βfemaleβ clients was noticeable (we are in Italy after all) and they would probably be very happy with it.
Service was attentive but seemed rather curt due to that. Knocking off a star because the price and quality donβt match. Price is about 50% higher than what it should be. The location may be a different experience in a month when the sea food really is fresh. Avoid the coffee since it was the worst ever experienced in Italy. Beans were burnt and so was the espresso. Mud tastes better

β β β β β Excellent and friendly service! The owner welcomed us warmly. The lunch menu for 16-18β¬ incl. two courses, a mixed salad and water was delicious. The atmosphere and the view at the nearby church was great.
Very authentic Italian restaurant! We loved it!

β β β β β An excellent traditional restaurant in the heart of Ancona, just at piazza del Papa. Warm deco inside, possibility to eat outside in summer. Amazing traditional dish - Brodetto All'anconetana! Excellent choice of wine. Quality food. Good prices. I recommend it.
