★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When with a party of 3 (one small child included) I just can’t grasp the fact that they don’t serve the table all together. My partner had his dish ~10 min before our kid and I got it.
The only wine they serve by the glass is the house white and that wine is utterly disgusting, I honestly thought it would be difficult to get such nasty wine in a country like Italy, it tasted like spiritus.
The vongole was overcooked and the dish in general way too salty.
Partner was satisfied with the pizza. Kid only picked out the pasta and didn’t touch the ragu.
We were told that this would be a good place to eat. Without doing any research on our own we went there. Big mistake.
Had to wait another ~15 minutes for the bill, after I requested it. And lady, but not least, dirty toilet filled with bugs.

I have NEVER eaten bad at this place and the penne are THE ABSOLUTE BEST.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice stop on the side of the road. I didn’t have the seafood - although it looked fresh and well presented in display cases. I did have a wonderful ragu and the bruschetta which were very nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was passing here late lunch time on a holiday. It was busy but they excepted us.
The atmosphere was okay and the staff were friendly and attentive enough especially considering how busy they seemed.
All the food was good. The sauces on our pastas looked similar but tasted different. Both were rich without being too heavy. The lemon sorbetto came with optional vodka.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A belated birthday celebration due to these challenging times , my family booked San Martino, I was surprised a fish (plus) restaurant in hills outside Firenze a little peaceful village of Impruneta, the surprise rapidly turned to delightful pleasure , honestly I thought after years of travel , restaurants various places and styles I would not be overawed, fast forward yes I was , most excellent , from starter of mixed raw fish , superb , to fish paella , then finish with lovely sorbet , a decent bottle of Vermentino was perfect accompaniment , service excellent even though the restaurant was very busy . I can only show before/after pictures of courses , and suggest wherever you are, either vacation , or resident , anywhere within driving striking distance of San Martino , Firenze , Siena and anywhere between etc., make it a "To Do" you will not be disappointed .
