★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wish I could give this more than three stars. The food is good, and we were in the mood to eat seriously at lunchtime today. However, the waitress was so busy trying to bounce us charmlessly into accepting we were going to be fed the (excellent) antipasto tasting that we barely got to look at the menu. Same approach on wine choices, which are never best made with someone looming over you. All of this was happening at the worst table in the dismal, windowless basement, where we'd been banished in spite of empty tables upstairs and a booking made days ago.
Reading other reviews, I can see these are issues others have had too. I guess at least it wasn't simply because we're foreigners. It's such a shame. I loved a lot of the food we ate today. But I'll never go back and I can't recommend it to anyone else.
