Ristorante Maga Mago'

Sulla via di ritorno verso casa, cerchiamo un posticino carino dove fare ultimo pranzo in chiusura delle vacanze. Arriviamo qui, e ci accomodiamo e stiamo in attesa del menù per ben 10 minuti, malgrado ci avessero prima detto che era molto tardi. Ordiniamo tagliere di salumi e formaggi. Buoni anche se ordinato per due arriva con un solo crostino col patè di fegato Per primo ravioli di patate al ragù e tagliatele al ragù entrambi di anatra. Molto buoni. Peccato le tante ossa presenti nel ragù, che ci possono stare ma un po' eccessivi. Servizio scadente. Chiedo il parmigiano insieme al primo che mi arriva dopo che ad un tavolo è stato servito il dolce, ad un altro il caffè e dopo aver sparecchiato alcuni tavoli. Frattanto il mio primo si è freddato

Very gut food but a bit pricey

Omg!!! We have lived in Italy for over 2 years now, and I can without a shadow of a doubt say, this has been our favorite restaurant ever! Our waitress, who is married to the chef, made her recommendations and I was not disappointed! At the end, we were fortunate to meet the chef, who is originally from Philadelphia. He was actually butchering a wild boar and showed us the process! Family friendly. TRY THE CARBONARA PICCANTE!!!!

Beautiful location hided from the tourist just for lovers of nice food and bikers... price can be better anyhow?

First course was good. Fried artichokes were really good. Main course was not above average. One colleague got a half cold carbonara. My lamb was just ok. The polpette was decent. Dessert was pricey but not bad. The food was not bad, but would not come back for the price paid.

We came there with high expectations as we read so many good things about this place, but we left utterly disappointed. 1. We were asked to sit at a nice free table, one out of 3 free tables. Then we were asked to leave the table and wait outside for approx. 20-30minutes, as this table was reserved. The other 2 tables as well. So we decided to wait. A big mistake. 2. We then waited outside only to realise that they forgot about us. So we asked on a update on the table after 30 minutes, only to be seated at one of the two other available tables which were free 30 minutes ago. 3. It took 10 minutes to place an order. After that we waited for 45 minutes on our food to arrive which hasn't yet. After I got the information that it will take 2 minutes I gave them the ultimatum that if the food is not here we'll leave, the kitchen sent us a starter on the house after 4 minutes. 4. 15 Minutes later we got the food we ordered. I was not really impressed. The lamb was heavily seasoned with herbs and the meat was too well done. Normally I would expect it medium. The grilled sausages tasted great, but 1/2 of them were raw, so not properly cooked. I can appreciate that today was an exception as it was a public holiday in Italy and the restaurant was full (except for the 3 tables mentioned above). But that does not excuse for a lousy service (we didn't even get the bread). I would imagine they knew about all these clients coming due to the reservations they received; hence more staff would have prevented this sad experience. 5. They write the receipts by hand and then calculate it with a calculator. So, we spent approx. 2h for lunch which was under our expectations. Overall they get 2 stars as I like the location and the ambience of the place.

Very nice restaurant in the middle of no where near Florence Italy. Had a very good spaghetti carbonara with spicy sauce. They also have complimentary drinks that you serve yourself from the bar.
