β β β β β we arrived 8 ppl around 8 pm after a long day. mikele the owner spoke perfect English and served us great local food and wine!
we liked the meat and grilled fish from the lake.
recommended and fresh!

β β β β β One of the best authentic Italian meals I have ever eaten! We went here in the second week of May (2017) and had the most beautiful lamb chops. I haven't stopped talking about this place and recommending it to everyone. Really top notch food and friendly chatty service.

β β β β β An excellent evening spent here. Arrived in the pouring rain to a warm welcome from the owner, who spoke perfect English, and lit a log fire for us. The menu was just what we wanted after a long drive from Austria over a snowy Brenner Pass, with all the classics that weary travellerβs might want. A T-bone steak and Rabbit Stew were both delicious - and perfectly accompanied with local Bardolino wine. Nice atmosphere, attentive service and an ideal menu - all at a very attractive price. Thank you for a perfect evening.

One negative point is smoking on the terrace. Please make a separate smoking area or forbid smoking on the terrace. The smoking kind of ruins the good dining experience

Cavaion is the kind of place that you tend to go *past*, in this case, because you're on the way up the mountain, or over the mountain, or heading to valpolicella, or some such.
But, if you happen to stop here, do go to this place - it's worth it.
The food is, of course, excellent (as with most places in the countryside), with the menu redolent of "local" (bigoli, pesce di lago, and whatnot). That said, ask the staff what to get, and go with their judgement - you won't be disappointed!
And yes, the wine list is just about as excellent ;-)

β β β β β We as a family go there every year (we are from Germany) and we love it. Fantastic food, German speaking staff and a nice view and Ambiente. Definitely will go there the next years again ;)

β β β β β You know, sometimes you go to a restaurant and everything just goes perfect like you imagined it. Well this is the place, excellent food, and I mean EXCELLENT!!! We had the tagliatelle tartufo, spaghetti scalpi and a ragoΓ»t !!! Dessert was a homemade chocolate cake with pistachios ice cream, it was just a dream!!!! We absolutely do recommend this place. The staff is very patient and welcoming. We'll be back very soon!!! Thank you very much for this first very good impression.
