★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Siamo stati a cena a giugno in questa splendida terrazza che affaccia sulla campagna siciliana. Location mozzafiato, senza alcun dubbio. Molto belli i tavolini, le luci soffuse ed è tutto ben curato. Basterebbe questo per giustificare una serata in questo ristorante.
Tuttavia, da appassionati di cucina siciliana (forse la più buona d'Italia), non siamo rimasti soddisfatti dei piatti. Abbiamo preso due primi che sulla carta promettevano benissimo, ma che alla fine non erano niente di che. Mancava proprio il gusto... in particolare i gamberetti sembravano dei semplicissimi gamberetti surgelati, cosa inconcepibile per questo territorio ! Magari mi sbaglio, ma proprio non ci siamo. Un pò meglio la frittura di pesce, molto molto abbondante, ma con un retrogusto che non ci ha convinto al 100%.
Ottimi i vini e curato e preciso il servizio.
Conto non basso, ma coerente con la location, un pò meno con la proposta culinaria.
Magari siamo incappati in una serata storta, ma potete mangiare molto meglio altrove. Se invece volete fare colpo su qualcuno per l'atmosfera allora il posto è assolutamente azzeccato.
We had dinner in June on this beautiful terrace overlooking the Sicilian countryside. Breathtaking location, without a doubt. Very nice tables, soft lights and everything is well taken care of. This would be enough to justify an evening in this restaurant.
However, as aficionados of Sicilian cuisine (perhaps the best in Italy), we were not satisfied with the dishes. We took two first courses that promised very well on paper, but which in the end were nothing special. The taste was missing ... in particular the shrimp looked like very simple frozen shrimps, which is inconceivable for this territory! Maybe I'm wrong, but we're not there. A little better the fried fish, very very abundant, but with an aftertaste that did not convince us 100%.
Excellent wines and accurate and precise service.
Account not low, but consistent with the location, a little less with the culinary proposal.
We may have stumbled upon a bad night, but you can eat much better elsewhere. If, on the other hand, you want to impress someone with the atmosphere then the place is absolutely spot on.

After we canceled our initial reservation, we were graciously accommodated anyway with our six children and the most naturally kind and thoughtful staff we have encountered anywhere. The food was amazing—creative, local, and delicious with flavor combinations that were both unexpected and tantalizing. The prices were very reasonable and Sebastiano, our server, was absolutely wonderful. The grounds were breathtakingly beautiful and so very well-maintained. We cannot wait to return to this peaceful, heavenly, charming retreat. Most highly recommended.
