We reserved a place on the terrace 2 days in advance. When we came to take the table they told us they make reservations only in general, so you can't decide if you stay inside or outside. Unfortunately I can't tell how the food is, but the service/ communication sure can be improved.

Worst dinner I have ever had..honestly, 70 euros and the best thing was the friench fries which we ordered to not leave the place hungry!

We came for a quick lunch early in the day. As expected, the small restaurant was still empty. Very informal setting and service. The food was very good, prepared with fresh ingredients. The sword fish Sicilian style is indeed recommended (moist and tasty). Also the pasta dishes are great. A good option for an easy lunch.

Simply divine food!!! Chef’s selection starter was superb. Cous cous with fish and sea food excellently spiced. Small place and yet with great atmosphere :)

Excellent Seafood Couscous and fresh Pasta with Lobster. Best to reserve a seat out front as it is a small restaurant. A great address when in San Vito lo Capo. Great value.

what a truly fantastic dinner and overall experience we just had at La Zagara. food was exceptional, both in flavours and (less important, but still worth mentioning) portions! my tuna steak in pistachio crust must have been at least 1/2 kg. our starters of clams and mussels would have been easily satisfied as mains. indeed, we had no space left for dessert. service was impeccable. the restaurant is small, just a handful of tables, quite a contrast and pleasing change wrt some of the 100+ cover restaurants on the main roads! [update] came back twice more and also tried the boiled octopus, grilled tuna, tuna "alla palermitana"" and busiate. consistently very good!

Tourist trap or taste for the people who have no idea what the fresh seafood is. Me and my boyfriend trusted good reviews in google, decided to give it a try and it was one of the worst dinners I have ever had in Italy. I ordered il cous cous di pesce and it was completely tasteless, gummy and simply disgusting. They used one of those frozen seafood mix from supermarket which is a big offense knowing that the sea is just 50 meters away. Moreover, my boyfriend ordered i tagliolini al pesto con gambero rosso di Mazara and got instead a plate of pasta with a random shrimp which was also tasteless. After asking the waiter to check this out, we got a response that 'they run out of the gambero rosso' which makes no sense because the restaurant just opened for that evening and the dish was still on the menu. We only paid for the bottle of wine which was the only thing that was fine. I don't recommend this place to anyone, don't go there if you want to have a nice dinner!
