★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We should have left the restaurant when the waiter was only speaking Italian to us. Not possible to understand even simple English like too salty, or spoon. If it is local area i can understand, but it is a touristic area. However one of them can speak English however he was too busy at something else. Like other comments said: poor service, unfriendly, for us, even the food was not tasty at all. My risotto campus was so salty that I couldn’t swallow. Really disappointed, should have checked the comments before deciding to enter this place. Even when we want to pay, card machine had some connection problem. ? if you don’t speak Italian, better do not go there. You will just be like me, paying for disappointment.

The location was convenient for us & the atmosphere was also decent.
Unfortunately the food price:quality ratio was horrible. The english was pretty bad- but my Italian is even worse so I can’t complain about that aspect.
The bread was that cheapish white baguette kind that gives you the “it’s probably leftovers from 2 days ago” kind of impression. The food price was not overly expensive but the quality did not justify the price at all. Calamari wasn’t prepared well and its only taste was that of far too much olive oil. The sea bass was €20 for a surprisingly small portion that was too “scaley” and with too many bones in it.
Other reviews say that the pizzas are very good. I should have ordered a pizza then.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During our Honeymoon in octobre we visited La Scogliera twice. Absolutely the best food in the whole of Sicily ;) (our opinion). Service was even better. This is a must visit if you're in the area!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great dinner here during my time in Catania. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. I went with their recommendation for antipasti and had one of the pizzas. I would eat here again for sure.
