★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful restaurant in the Roero valley. The chef trained with Ducasse so expect a lot of French influences. Still, they keep close to the Piemontese food traditions. Service is very friendly and competent. What amazes me are the totally fair prices. I've been 3 times and go again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic 1 Michelin star restaurant. Superb service. It's not your usual traditional piedmont food but this guy can definitely cook! Amazing food and wine experience. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he receives a 2 star sometime soon.

Service personnel was equally professional and exceptionally sympathetic, making us feel very welcome and comportable. Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant is excellent, and on the way for another Michelin star (we happened to come just a few weeks after they received their second star). We found it very formal in the beginning, and it takes a while to feel at ease, but it is just a matter of time. There as just a few tables in the main dining room. The staff is very knowledgeable and attentive to details. Before we started, they served a sequence of small dishes: very creative selection. We had the 8 dishes menu and it was outstanding. The key for us was how delicate and well balanced all dishes were. There is a clear style that is consistently followed through by the chef (who constantly comes out of the kitchen explaining the dishes) for the whole menu. The wine pairing was another highlight, as the sommelier managed to capture the essence of the food with his selection.
UPDATE: I went for a second visit and can confirm what I wrote before: simply amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 4.0 Very experimental kitchen which I like. Many of the courses were excellent (shrimp cocktail, peppers), a couple of them where not so great (e.g. lamb as a main dish, fish with beurre blanc was okay).
Service was good, atmosphere nice.
It’s worth trying it out, but I have many other restaurants which I prefer a lot in piemont.
