β β β β β La Lampara has been recommended to me by one of the locals as an amazing place to have dinner at, so I was really looking forward to going there. The experience was far from being as good as the recommendation was. Average food, extremely poor servicing. Have been waiting for a while to get my food and could never get attention from waiters, no matter how hard I tried. With all the mimics and gestures I learnt to use within that one evening I could get into a drama school, honestly. On top of that, food there was overpriced. Overall, poor experience for a significant amount of money.

β β β β β We only went in for a drink, but even that brief encounter was enough. This place was recommended by a local cafe owner to us. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. The owner even wished us well as we left. I thought the service was prompt and welcoming. The menu of the day looked fantastic.

β β β β β Superb food, amazingly friendly and helpful staff and owners, who even drove us back to Taormina and wouldn't accept anything. One of the best steaks in my life but the fresh seared tuna looked amazing too. My wife's fish roe paste was sublime.
Homemade desserts were excellent also.
Back to the gym for me next week!
