β β β β β 10/5/2022 Sono tornato una decina di giorni dopo la prima visita per completare il giro nei dintorni di Salerno e non ho perso l'occasione di ritornare a cena alla Conchiglia. Stavolta eravamo in due; abbiamo diviso l'antipasto misto (l'aspetto era molto bello e il gusto davvero eccellente, un mix di sapori diversi molto ben bilanciati) poi abbiamo esplorato due diversi percorsi: io ho nuovamente gustato gli ottimi scialatelli al sapore di mare che giΓ avevo preso la volta precedente e la mia compagna di viaggio ha molto apprezzato la grigliata mista di pesce; il tutto accompagnato da una buona bottiglia di falanghina. Ancora una nota di merito al servizio e all'ospitalitΓ :Β ricevere l'attenzione del ristoratore e sentirsi a proprio agio non Γ¨ meno importante della qualitΓ e del gusto del cibo che di mangia.
28/4/2022 Non Γ¨ un ristorante davanti al quale si passa camminando in centro, perchΓ© Γ¨ dalla parte opposta, sul lungomare a circa 600 m dalla stazione: ci si va apposta.... e vale la pena! Il cibo Γ¨ ottimo e pure il servizio, il prezzo Γ¨ onesto e le portate non sono affatto scarse (vedi foto). Io ho gustato gli scialatielli al sapore di mare (conditi con pomodorini, vongole, cozze, polipo e pezzetti di orata: superlativi!) e il filetto di orata in crosta di patate con contorno di insalatina e pomodorini, il tutto accompagnato da un calice di falanghina (nota di merito anche per il ragazzo che lo ha servito: prima un assaggio con esibizione della bottiglia poi un calice generoso alla giusta temperatura: servizio solitamente riservato a chi ordina la bottiglia ma non a chi consuma un solo calice). A proposito del servizio, ho visto il gestore all'opera a un altro tavolo intento a sfilettare il pesce e sebbene lontano mi Γ¨ parso piuttosto in gamba. Insomma, davvero nulla da obiettare. Peccato che io abiti a 600 km da qui! Ma se torno a Salerno...
 10/5/2022 I returned about ten days after the first visit to complete the tour around Salerno and I did not miss the opportunity to return to dinner at the Conchiglia. This time there were two of us; we divided the mixed appetizer (the appearance was very nice and the taste really excellent, a mix of different flavors very well balanced) then we explored two different paths: I again tasted the excellent seafood scialatelli that I had already taken the previous time and my travel companion very much enjoyed the mixed fish grill; all accompanied by a good bottle of Falanghina. Another note of merit to the service and hospitality: receiving the restaurateur's attention and feeling at ease is no less important than the quality and taste of the food you eat.
4/28/2022 It is not a restaurant in front of which you walk into the center, because it is on the opposite side, on the seafront about 600 m from the station: you go there on purpose .... and it's worth it! The food is excellent and the service too, the price is fair and the courses are not at all scarce (see photo). I tasted the sea-flavored scialatielli (seasoned with cherry tomatoes, clams, mussels, octopus and pieces of sea bream: superlative!) And the sea bream fillet in a potato crust with a side of salad and cherry tomatoes, all accompanied by a glass of falanghina (note of merit also for the boy who served it: first a tasting with a display of the bottle then a generous glass at the right temperature: service usually reserved for those who order the bottle but not for those who consume only one glass). Speaking of the service, I saw the manager at work at another table intent on filleting the fish and although far away he seemed quite capable. In short, really nothing to object. Too bad I live 600 km from here! But if I go back to Salerno ...

β β β β β This place was lovely. A lot of Sorento restaurants are touristy and mediocre, but this one was enjoyed my Italian friends as well. I usually donβt go for seafood, but the octopus and pasta vongole were so fresh here, it was fantastic.

β β β β β Delicious food and excellent service! The staff are all very welcoming and attentive. They're keen to explain the different dishes and types of fish. I had a lovely evening here. I highly recommend the cod salad and the amberjack.
