★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From the point of view of the quality of the food compared to the price, I can say that I would give 5 stars. But I will give 3 because we were unhappy with the service.
The waiter after ordering a plate of seafood (because that's all we wanted to eat and that's why we came) insisted on ordering something else - totally unprofessional behavior. Also, at the end when we asked for the bill, she insisted again on ordering something else, making us feel annoyed. If there were no such insistence and this bad policy of "forcing" customers to order, I would definitely return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best restaurant in the area. Gente di mare is upscale and unpretentious at the same time. Easy going atmosphere with impeccable service.
The seafood here is fresh and well prepared.
As you come in you can see their cold seafood bar or prep station with the fresh selection of shell fish and fish.
The menu is complete and has a little bit for everyone. Keep in mind it is seafood mostly.
Royal tower of seafood is impressive and delicious. (Splurge... go big)
Lobster Catalana was cooked perfectly. Pasta gente di mare is delicious and so flavorful.
Great place to have dinner in Milan.

Had the pleasure of eating at Gente di Mare in Navigli. We had it recommended to us. The place is inside is clean and the staff super, super, friendly and accomadating. We ordered some crudo which was fresh and excellent. We ate stuffed calimari which was out of this world. We also ordered mussels, of which I had never seen the size of.
Again, delicios. And the owner who happened to be there who extremely friendly and helpful in selecting the the dishes, recommended fregola which is a typical sardinian past dish. We were all just blown away how delicious it was. Served on a beautiful plate with a whole crab. Wine was fantastic and our waiters were top notch. This was a nice surprise because I have eaten in a lot of places in Milan and by far some of the best service I have had. Dessert was excellent a tiramisu w/a lsardinia liquer called mirtu. we ordered 2 and they were gone in 4 seconds. Then they were so nice we were offered a cafe and some more mirtu. All in all, 5 ou of 5 stars. If you like fresh seafood and great attentive service come here. It felt like having dinner at a friends place. Just great. Highly recommend it and can't wait to be back! Grazie!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A gem that’s overlooked amidst the other tourist traps. The seafood soup was amazing, and I thoroughly enjoyed the seafood version of carbonara. My partner loved the sea urchin pasta as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was underwhelmed with the place given its rating on Google. I wouldn't say it is great value for money. The interior is somewhat shabby, everything is just a bit 3 out of 5.
The food itself was also not great. The oyster we ordered we had to remove from the shelf ourselves.
The capaccio wasn't delicious and the tar tar sauce was a bit bland.
The waiters were nice, but overall experience wasn't great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exellence at its finest expression. Flowless service, exquisite cusine, final bill ridiculously appropriate. I could never expect to eat such high quality fish and sellfish in a restaurant in one of the most turistic area of Milano. A must go.

The restaurant was recommended to us by friends and we can only recommend it to you.
It is worth leaving the first zone to dine at Gente di Mare.
