Ristorante Esperia

Staff wasn’t really friendly, but we just still acted kindly. My friends ordered pizza and it was decent, but my Caico e Pepe was cold and also very very salty. I’ve had it many other places but this time I couldn’t even have more than 3 bites. Also beware of the gratuity charge. 2€ each person

The food was amazing, the staff really friendly!!! To be honest, strongly recommended!!!

The food and service were ok but we thought just a little more expensive than others nearby.

Know when you’re tired and sit down in restaurant on your way to the hotel… don’t do this here. The pizza was passable at most and didn’t look good. The staff seemed overworked (the girl waiting on us) and the old man, rude and barely looked us in the eye. Don’t recommend.

Searching for something authentically Roman? This is the place! We went for a lovely family meal here at Trattoria Esperia on Via Firenze (off Via Nazionale) and near the Dell'Opera Theatre in the centre of Rome. We all had different dishes: Pasta e Fagioli con le cozze (pasta with beans and mussels), pizza and Saltimbocca alla Romana with baked vegetables. Everything was delicious and well prepared - the pizza I had was sooo good! The deserts were also excellent. All made in-house, my favourite was the pannacotta which was absolutely out of this world! Fulvia and Michele are so welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. If you're struggling to find a nice family-run trattoria with authentic food, this is the place to come! We sat outside were there is a lovely terrace surrounded by sweet-smelling jasmine.

I'm from the states and I've been here 5 times in 2 years. This is my favorite place to go in Rome. 1L of the house red and two quattro formaggi pizzas are min and my girlfriend's go to. Great food, better service, cant wait until next time.

No matter how hard it is, but I don't want to be silent and I have to leave my feedback. I flew to Rome with my daughter during the Catholic Easter. And it was my only possible weekend, after several months of constant work. I really wanted to spend them joyfully and pleasantly, and not regret anything. But when we got to Rome, after a long journey, we wanted to have a snack before going to the hotel. We found a nice restaurant with tables on the street. We sat down at a table. The waiter brought the menu and asked what we would drink. We said water. He walked away from us with not very pleasant expressions on his face. When we chose a pizza, the waiter came up and again asked what we would drink, we again said water and the name of the pizza. And when he walked away, he was saying something to himself in Italian. Another waiter brought the water. Because that waiter didn't want to serve us and handed us over to another. Then they brought us a completely cold pizza. You can imagine, it was a terrible look, like a sandwich, only big and as if it was made by a child. I couldn't stand this attitude. I said bring the bill. They brought a bill for 17 euros. I wanted to pay by card. The waiter ran around with my card, then said that they did not catch the Internet, I put 20 euros on the table and left. I came to the hotel, sobbing. And oh gods, a real compassionate Italian man at the reception decided to help us. He said that since we are Ukrainians and he sympathizes with us, the food is free (both breakfast and lunch and dinner). After all, not everyone in Italy is brought up as a follower of Hitler. There is someone who respects and sympathizes with our grief. And we stayed hungry that day and also gave a terrible service of 20 euros. Glory to Ukraine!

Too much to wait comparig with other restaurants. It was basicly empty and we have waited around 25 min. Food was good, but not super tasty. And the price level is quite higher with other places near by.
