Un ricordo dell'adolescenza mi porta in un posto che pensavo fosse ormai chiuso: Zaff a San Giovanni Teatino. Non mi ricordo proprio nulla del locale eppure ci sono stato tante volte. Mi spiegheranno poi che hanno dovuto ristrutturare per motivi urbanistici. Ci sono ancora dei tavoli liberi e ci fa strada una ragazza di una gentilezza ed un entusiasmo commoventi. Ci sentiamo subito a nostro agio.. Tovaglia di carta, piatti e bicchieri alla buona, compagnia variegata. In questo posto il pezzo forte erano gli arrosticini, di carne di fegato. Noi, affamati, ci facciamo tentare da una bruschetta con la salsiccia e con la ventricina. Addentandola , chiudiamo gli occhi e ci ritroviamo nel passato. Sapore di una volta, genuini e rustici allo stesso tempo. Mi viene in mente che facevano dei sott'olio superbi ci portano zucchine e melanzane. Entrambe ottime. Il tutto innaffiato con un vino forte, scuro e corroborante. Veramente molto buono. Arrivano poi gli arrosticini, di carne e di fegato. Rigorosamente fatti a mano, frollati e cotti alla perfezione. I migliori mangiati da qualche anno a questa parte. Li accompagniamo con pane unto come si usa da noi e patate fritte sfogliate, anche queste semplici ma impossibile farle meglio. Uscendo scambiamo due chiacchiere con i giovanissimi gestori. Hanno rilevato un ristorante dalla grande tradizione che vogliono riportare su . il menù è nuovo, con proposte di primo allettanti. Il prezzo è giusto tendente all'economico . Ristorante top per gli arrosticini e non solo. Torneremo sicuramente Saturday night, all full. We are in Abruzzo we want some kebabs! A memory of my adolescence takes me to a place that I thought was now closed: Zaff in San Giovanni Teatino. I don't remember anything about the place and yet I've been there many times. They will then explain to me that they had to renovate for urban planning reasons. There are still some free tables and a girl of touching kindness and enthusiasm leads the way. We immediately feel at ease .. Paper tablecloth, plates and glasses to the good, varied company. In this place the highlight were the kebabs, made with liver meat. We, hungry, let ourselves be tempted by a bruschetta with sausage and ventricina. Biting into it, we close our eyes and find ourselves in the past. Taste of the past, genuine and rustic at the same time. It occurs to me that they made superb pickles in oil they bring us zucchini and eggplant. Both excellent. All washed down with a strong, dark and invigorating wine. Really very good. Then come the kebabs, of meat and liver. Strictly handmade, matured and cooked to perfection. The best ones eaten in the last few years. We accompany them with greasy bread as we use and puffed fried potatoes, even these simple but impossible to make them better. As we leave, we chat with the very young managers. They have taken over a restaurant with a great tradition that they want to bring back. the menu is new, with tempting first courses. The price is fair tending to the economic. Top restaurant for kebabs and more. We will definitely be back

We took antipasto ( prosciutto & cheese) which was with authentic Italian taste, capsicum and eggs ( so tasty!!) and arrosticini, which where superlative! We were absolutely happy with the red house wine as well! ???
