Basta scelta di vini di ottima qualità. Prezzi un po' sopra la norma ma considerando le materie prime, ambiente , servizio ne vale la pena andare lì ed immergersi nel gusto e peccati di gola. Excellent family run restaurant. Choice of high quality raw materials, homemade pasta and typical Emilian cuisine. Enough choice of excellent quality wines. Prices a little above the norm but considering the raw materials, environment, service it is worth it to go there and immerse yourself in taste and sins of gluttony.

Siamo andati sui secondi ordinando rosticciata mista (arrosti) e coniglio arrosto del contadino e patate al forno come contorno. La carne del misto, composta da maiale e coniglio, presentava per i 3 tagli presenti la medesima cottura e dunque vi erano pezzi di carne decisamente troppo cotta. La consistenza risulta asciutta e stoppacciosa e il sapore non é eccezionale, anche se la carne di partenza é di discreta qualità. Costo per 2 secondi un contorno e acqua naturale 40€ (i 3€ di coperto sono davvero folli). Non abbiamo provato i primi che all'aspetto risultavano invitanti. Evitate i secondi. The restaurant is located in the center of Castelnovo Monti near the oldest part of the village. We went on the main courses by ordering mixed rosticciata (roasts) and farmer's roast rabbit and baked potatoes as a side dish. The meat of the mixture, consisting of pork and rabbit, had the same cooking for the 3 cuts present and therefore there were pieces of meat that were decidedly overcooked. The consistency is dry and stringy and the flavor is not exceptional, even if the starting meat is of good quality. Cost for 2 seconds a side dish and still water € 40 (the € 3 cover charge is really crazy). We didn't try the first ones that looked inviting. Avoid the seconds.

Menù semplice e per tutti i gusti con i piatti della tradizione, secondo quanto la stagione regala. Pietanze preparate a regola d'arte con prodotti di grande qualità e in molti casi a km zero. Da non perdere il tagliere con i salumi della casa: il salame ... emoziona ? Carta dei vini ricca e attenta alle produzioni naturali e locali. Professionalità in un piccolo angolo di Paradiso ... servizio impeccabile, cortese e fluido... Tutto è come sembra. Genuino! Spero di tornare presto per dedicarmi alla cantina vini ? Welcoming, like the real taverns of the Belpaese that from generation to generation have made the great history of Italian food and wine. Simple menu for all tastes with traditional dishes, according to what the season offers. Dishes prepared in a workmanlike manner with high quality products and in many cases at zero km. Do not miss the cutting board with the house cold cuts: the salami ... excites ? Rich wine list and attentive to natural and local productions. Professionalism in a small corner of Paradise ... impeccable, courteous and fluid service ... Everything is as it seems. Genuine! I hope to return soon to dedicate myself to the wine cellar ?

They offered us to change one of the plates that we ordered, because they suggested that it would be better with mushroom instead of onion, we said ok and it was good, but in the end we realised that the plate became 8 euros more expensive... The same for drinks. They had no menu for drinks nor desserts. Beware of the surprises and always ask for the price, because they will not tell you, if you don't ask
