★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely helpful staff. Only the chef spoke English so he came out to translate the menu. Only lost a star because one of us had tuna which had an off taste. They took it off the bill because they were concerned. Mixed carne was good and the calamara grille. The antipasta was way too much food! Portions are large.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This review is from myself and my husband Geof Johnson on holiday in Salento, Sunday 12th September 2021 dinner time.
The restaurant had welcoming and roomy spaces furnished with antic's pieces of furniture and plants, flowers that are reminiscent of what the Salento land, sea and culture stand for.
The owner and his waitress were kind, caring and had a deep knowledge of the food and wines they served.
We ate some delicious and varied "antipasti" :mixed
frittini; a plate of fried veggies, arancini and round fried dough, charcoal calamaro, mixed seafood and many more.
As main we had a small portion of "spaghetti alla chitarra" and we finished with wonderful sorbets and homemade profiteroles.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food so fresh and genuine and it's presentation, the wine complemented greatly what we ate. An evening to remember and we recommend "Da Ciccio" as a gem to visit and relish of the beautiful Salento!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a pearl! Coming off-season without reservation we had to knock on doors. The owner welcomed us gracefully and his mother cooked some of the best meals I tasted ever. The menu was in in Italian only but the owner took liberty to translate and describe each meal so well that choosing one become really hard. And when he told us the whole story of this joint over a bottle of Prosecco Rosso by his choosing we knew we'll be back.
I don't get lack of stars in other reviews because of not liking the toilets or other petinesses. People wake up and enjoy the food! That's what matters!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After being in Salento / Pulgia for two weeks, this was by far the best, most authentic meal. The owner explained the whole menu in English to us and took care to help us pick what we would like best. If I could give 10 stars instead of 5, I would.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We found this wobderful place, when nothing nesr was open (off season) and were very happy with the service, food, wine and also local digestiv. The service was exceptional, they also broughtvwater for our dog automatically. I recommend the tastin antipasti and fritura mista. We will come back soon.
