★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easily the best steak I've ever had. I got to know the chef a little, and he's a really nice guy. He took care of me throughout the day, bringing me tasty little snacks while I used their Wi-Fi to get some work done. The patriarch was an amusing character, too. Great place, and great people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This lovely restaurant is in a charming old villa in a shady neighborhood across the river from downtown Belluno. We asked if we could come with our dog and arrived to find they had set up a pretty table for us under huge umbrellas in the private garden in front of the house. There is back garden, too, and the inside of the restaurant is traditional and charming.
The menu offers a nice selection of local dishes and national classics, all very well priced. We had a crisp, cold rosé and my son ordered a fruity double malt beer that he discovered was .75L and arrived in a wine bottle (we helped him finish it). In terms of food, everything we ordered was perfectly prepared, elegantly served, and delicious. Wonderful baccalà mantecata, tagliata, capretto, vitello tonnato, contorni di patate and verdure, and a light yet luscious polenta. Polenta is a good measure of a restaurant - it can be an afterthought or a bland plate-filler. But this was maybe the best polenta I’ve ever had. We’ll be back. Highly recommend.

We were very happy with the appetizers (carpaccio, rolled rabbit), not so much with the mains (kid goat, duck, the first being a bit too tough and the other almost inedible). Service was good and so was the wine selection including from Veneto. This place is recommended by Michelin, so not cheap.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best restaurants i have been to. Everything was perfect: the location, the service, the food, the atmosphere. Very gentle waiter met us and escorted to the table. He was very attentive during all our staying in the restaurant. We ordered risotto with mushrooms, cold cuts, baked cheese with polenta and meet with truffles - it was all delicious! We were happy to have found this restaurant and now it is one of my favourite!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We couldn’t make a reservation because we don’t speak Italian and they didn’t have servers who speak German/English. We said we don’t mind and can use google translate but they still refused to make a reservation. Very weird especially for a guesthouse.
Update after answer owner:
We called with the restaurant and they literally said to us you can’t make a reservation because you don’t speak Italian and our waiters who work tonight only speak Italian. So that was the reason they gave us and nothing about fully booked etcetera.
