La vegetazione è quella tipica della macchia mediterranea, con distese a perdita d'occhio di cespugli di satra e rosmarino. A pleasant discovery! The area deserves to be redeveloped more, it is little known and popular but I assure you it deserves. È bello scoprire i sentieri e le casette ormai in rovina usate decenni fa da Contadini e allevatori, Ci sono sorgenti e il nostro martoriato e ormai piccolo fiume ippari... Dall'aspetto ormai schifosetto per la pizza e gli scarichi. Pranzo a sacco ed arrampicate... A seconda della zona che si sceglie da percorrere. Non è però a mio avviso adatto ad escursioni con i bimbi...se si decide di portare i bambini a fare un picnic meglio cambiare zona A day spent outdoors and discovering the surroundings .... Si estende su una superficie di circa 3000 ettari nel territorio dei comuni di Vittoria, Comiso e Ragusa. Il nome con cui le persone della zona sono solite chiamare la Riserva è "a Buffa", anche se in realtà la Buffa è solo una delle tante contrade della valle. Posto molto carino dove poter fare una passeggiata in mezzo alla natura. The Oriented Natural Reserve of the Pino d'Aleppo was established as a protected area in 1990 with the aim of safeguarding one of the last remaining strips of natural forest of Pinus halepensis in Sicily. It covers an area of about 3000 hectares in the territory of the municipalities of Vittoria, Comiso and Ragusa. The name by which the people of the area usually call the Reserve is "a Buffa", even if in reality the Buffa is only one of the many districts of the valley. Very nice place where you can take a walk in the middle of nature.
