Wanting to try a jet ski again, I google and the first one that appears is Riky's Tribe. I call for confirmation and they give me availability; I communicate that I have in my pocket the authenticated photocopy (as required by the legislation in Italian ports) of the nautical license over 12 sailing and motor miles; to recover the original I would be forced to do about eighty extra kilometers. They ask me for something that supports this rule, I send the documentation and ... nothing. The manager, claiming to be jointly and severally liable, wants the original license. Okay, go for the 80 km. I arrive shortly after five, I choose the half hour at the amount of 80 euros (as agreed) and .... another 100 euros security is required. Never budgeted before ... but that's okay (it's right that they are protected too). Then they require an identity document as a guarantee. I give them the electronic ID card and ... that's not good. He wants the original boat license. I object that if the Port Authority were to stop me, I would not have the document behind me. The owner says that, in this case, he will come out to join me .... boh. Weird procedure. As well as that of countersigning a summary map with the recommendation not to go more than one kilometer to the right and left. Finally we are able to leave at 5.35pm. He recommends that I check the time. What I do .... but I lose the visual reference (glasses slightly encrusted with salt ....) and return at 18.00 but at the bathroom 120 instead of 78. I leave and arrive at 78 at 18.09 (4 minutes late. ...), thus winning a lecture. I explain that I had taken as a reference a pier ..... but there are 8. My mistake. Arrived at the desk to retrieve clothes and documents .... and I am asked for an extra for the delay. Of 20 euros .... then generously reduced to 10. Nothing to complain about the conditions of the jet ski. But I believe that the treatment received, all the more justified by the fact that jet skis do not turn often (the need for a boat license is, by their own admission, castrating for the purposes of rental), was not particularly pleasant. Will I go back to them? Maybe. But first I try from others ....
