F	Federico Scomazzon on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ci ho soggiornato per alcuni giorni tanti anni fà quando il gruppo Alpini del mio paese gestiva il rifugio, ovviamente ci sono andato anche molte altre volte, perché frequento quei posti da molto tempo, è un punto di ritrovo per parlare, avere informazioni e anche per ristorarsi naturalmente molto ben organizzato e efficiente. I stayed there for a few days many years ago when the Alpini group of my country managed the refuge, obviously I also went there many other times, because I have frequented those places for a long time, it is a meeting point to talk, get information and also to eating naturally very well organized and efficient.

Ricordo quando, con mio padre Giuseppe (per gli amici Bepi) trascorrevo qui al rifugio alcune ore con gli alpini, dopo aver raggiunto il rifugio con la mitica jeep di Gildo, partendo dal piazzale Lozze, dove si lasciano le auto. Per mio padre vivere in compagnia di persone semplici qui a quasi 2000 Mt di altitudine, lontano in tutti i sensi da Roma, dove spesso si recava per lavoro, era una vera e propria boccata di ossigeno. E guai a chiamarlo commendatore, qui! E mio padre, vero signore, aveva deciso di frequentare cima Dodici, il Caldiera, monte Ortigara, anche se il medico gli aveva suggerito di evitare di salire in montagna, considerato che aveva problemi di cuore. Dove riposa per sempre c'è la sua fotografia con lo sfondo le come che ho citato sopra... Unforgettable place that alas for years I have not frequented, but where I have the desire to make my children known! I remember when, with my father Giuseppe (for the Bepi friends) I spent a few hours here with the Alpine troops at the refuge, after reaching the refuge with the legendary jeep of Gildo, starting from Piazzale Lozze, where cars are left. For my father, living in the company of simple people here at almost 2000 meters above sea level, far from Rome in all senses, where he often went for work, was a real breath of oxygen. And woe to call him commendatore, here! And my father, true sir, had decided to go to the top of the Twelve, the Caldiera, Mount Ortigara, even if the doctor had suggested that he avoid climbing the mountains, considering that he had heart problems. Il locale è tenuto aperto solo in determinate occasioni, come raduni alpini et similia (non ho il calendario...) e solo da volontari. La vera e grossa pecca viene dalla strada bianca per arrivare nelle vicinanze: è lunghissima (circa 6 km su 9 totali!) e abbastanza dissestata, anche se percorribile con una normalissima vettura media (non è necessario un fuoristrada! Basta viaggiare ai 20-30 kmh....) Wonderful location surrounded by greenery and rich in history of the Great War. The restaurant is kept open only on certain occasions, such as alpine gatherings and the like (I don't have the calendar ...) and only by volunteers. The real and big flaw comes from the dirt road to get in the vicinity: it is very long (about 6 km out of 9 total!) And quite bumpy, even if it can be traveled with a normal medium car (no off-road vehicle is necessary! Just travel at 20-30 kmh ....)

Non è un bar, non è un ristorante è un punto di ristoro per alpinisti e turisti che possono trovare uni spuntino o un pranzo veloce e senza tante pretese prima o dopo aver affrontato una delle cime del complesso dell'ortigara. Gli stessi alpini in servizio mantengono in ordine sentieri e trincee della zona, se passate ricordare sempre di ringraziarli anche per questo. Typical mountain refuge, managed in summer by the volunteers of the National Alpine Association of the Marostica section. It is not a bar, it is not a restaurant, it is a refreshment point for climbers and tourists who can find a quick and unpretentious snack or lunch before or after facing one of the peaks of the Ortigara complex. The same Alpini on duty keep the trails and trenches in the area in order, if you pass by, always remember to thank them for this too.
M	Matteo Chemello on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Luogo ricchissimo di storia della Grande Guerra, immerso nel verde, lontano da inquinamento acustico di giorno, e la notte si trasforma in un cielo stellato (tempo permettendo) di nessun'altro paragone!!! rifugio preso in gestione dai vari gruppi alpini della sezione di Marostica. Per coloro che sono di passaggio, trovano un pasto anche caldo oppure dei pietanze con ottimo formaggio e sopresse.....oltre alle bevande. Tutti gli alpini mettono allegria..... Grazie Alpini. A place rich in history of the Great War, surrounded by greenery, away from noise pollution by day, and the night turns into a starry sky (weather permitting) of no other comparison !!! refuge taken over by the various Alpine groups of the Marostica section. For those who are passing through, they also find a hot meal or dishes with excellent cheese and sopresse ..... in addition to drinks. All the Alpini bring joy ..... Thanks Alpini.

La chiesetta vicina crea un piccolo paradiso da visitare con l'escursione TOP nel cippo Ortigara a 2105 metri d'altezza. Open from mid-June to September, it is a refuge managed by the Marosticense section with its various groups. The nearby church creates a small paradise to visit with the TOP excursion in the Ortigara stone at an altitude of 2105 meters.
