Relitto allagato ed ora pieno d'acqua al suo interno. Mi raccomando sempre chiudere porte e finestre prima di salutare il relitto! Il relitto dista più o meno 400 mt dalla spiaggia quindi non è impossibile arrivarci a nuoto. Altrimenti noleggiando il pedalò. D	Daniele Maffia on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il relitto è visitabile da tutti, ci sono visite guidate con barche ma per i nuotatori arrivarci a nuoto dalla spiaggia di pomonte (spiaggia con sassi grossi, consiglio scarpe da scoglio) è tutt'altro che un'impresa impossibile. Tantissimi pesci e comunque il sito è davvero molto bello e curioso. The wreck can be visited by everyone, there are guided tours with boats but for swimmers, swimming there from the beach of pomonte (beach with large stones, I recommend rock shoes) is anything but an impossible undertaking. Lots of fish and in any case the site is really very beautiful and curious.
V	Valentina Franzoni on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Non è possibile raccontare a parole l'emozione. È come nuotare in un immenso acquario! Veramente meraviglioso. Raggiungibile facilmente dalla costa a nuoto, ancora meglio con le pinne. Sulla costa sono disponibili in estate pedalò a noleggio, difficili però da portare perché c'è sempre vento. A nuoto invece si va tranquilli e lo spettacolo è garantito. Il relitto si estende in vari pezzi su profondità diverse. La parte più verso il livello dell'acqua è a circa 4 metri ed è facile da toccare anche per i meno esperti. La parte più immersa necessità un'apnea a circa 12 metri, raggiungibile da chi è in grado, con una persona sopra a supporto. Vale davvero la pena e se si va ad orari non di punta si trova parcheggio sulle strisce blu anche proprio sulla costa. Il relitto si trova proprio a sinistra dello scoglio emerso, come si vede dalle foto con le barche lì concentrate. It is not possible to describe emotion in words. The wreck extends in various pieces on different depths. The part most towards the water level is about 4 meters and is easy to touch even for the less experienced. The most immersed part needs an apnea at about 12 meters, reachable by those who are able, with a person on top as support. It is really worth it and if you go at off-peak times you will find parking on the blue lines also right on the coast. The wreck is located just to the left of the emerged rock, as you can see from the photos with the boats concentrated there.

Dovete però visitarlo di mattina, la luce del pomeriggio peggiora molto la visibilità e vi rovinerebbe l'esperienza. (i parcheggi per l'auto sono pochissimi e tutti lungo la strada, quindi venite presto o preparatevi a fare qualche kilometro a piedi) Must to visit if you are on holiday in Elba! L'Elviscot era un piccolo mercantile che si incagliò nei primi anni settanta sullo scoglio dell'Ogliera nei pressi di Pomonte. Trovandosi in un basso fondale il relitto è molto battuto sia dai Diving locali che dai semplici turisti. Il parcheggio nei dintorni è purtroppo quasi introvabile, tanto è nota la località. Il paesino, piccolo e pittoresco, dà un senso di perenne armonia col blu cobalto del mare che lo bagna. La spiaggetta di sassi risulta quasi sempre affollata, gentilissimo il bagnino che oltre ad affittarci a prezzo modico l'attrezzatura per alcuni amici ha dato preziosi consigli circa il luogo e gli orari ideali per non capitare nella fiumana di gente (per la maggior parte turisti) che viene a fare snorkeling qui. Consigliabile venire la mattina presto e preferibilmente in bassa stagione. In tarda mattinata con l'arrivo di barche turistiche e private il sito del relitto si affolla completamente di gente e ci si ritrova a condividere uno specchio d'acqua con un centinaio di persone di varie età e nazionalità. Per chi come me è abituato alle acque velate del litorale laziale la limpidezza di questo mare è veramente sorprendente. L'Elviscot adagiato sul fondo e completamente circondato da una nuvola di pesci, alcuni anche di taglia, fa poi il resto in questo scenario davvero singolare; il tutto a pochi metri da riva. Un vero spettacolo sottomarino che sicuramente tornerò a visitare. As a lover of wrecks I have long wanted to come here. Elviscot was a small merchant ship that ran aground in the early seventies on the Ogliera rock near Pomonte. Being in a shallow seabed, the wreck is very beaten both by local diving and by simple tourists. The nearby parking is unfortunately almost impossible to find, as the locality is so well known. The village, small and picturesque, gives a sense of perennial harmony with the cobalt blue of the sea that bathes it. The pebble beach is almost always crowded, the lifeguard was very kind and in addition to renting equipment for some friends at a reasonable price, he gave valuable advice about the place and the ideal times to avoid falling into the flood of people (mostly tourists) who comes to snorkel here. It is advisable to come early in the morning and preferably in the low season. In the late morning with the arrival of tourist and private boats, the site of the wreck is completely crowded with people and we find ourselves sharing a body of water with a hundred people of various ages and nationalities. For those like me who are used to the veiled waters of the Lazio coast, the clarity of this sea is truly amazing. The Elviscot lying on the bottom and completely surrounded by a cloud of fish, some even of size, then does the rest in this truly unique scenario; all a few meters from the shore. A true underwater show that I will definitely return to visit.
