Wonderful! It's such a privilege to have stayed at Villa Giulia, everything about it was fanatastic and naturally beautiful from the view of the Adriatic, rolling hills, and large swimming pool next to the organic garden. Absolutely a treat and we would love to return again and again. It's a jewel.

Excellent and friendly hotel, with beautiful gardens and swimming pool surrounded by oleanders, vines and olives. The food is beautifully and generously prepared. Especially the breakfasts which can be eaten on the terrace with a great view to the hills and the sea. Will return next year.

A charming, warm and historic villa set in the countryside but within close proximity to Fano. Setting is wonderful. Food, glorious. Room we had was large and appointed with family heirlooms and antiques. Bathroom and dressing area was enormous. Perhaps some updating of bathroom fixtures would be nice. Otherwise staff extremely helpful and accommodating. Would love to return: a true retreat!

We had a wonderful two night stay at the Villa Giulia during a heatwave earlier this month. Our room was delightfully furnished with tastefully chosen antique furniture and was very comfortable and well air-conditioned. The house and its large gardens were so pretty and peaceful and had a superb view over the surrounding countryside and towards Fano and the sea. The restaurant was very good and we enjoyed the wide choice of freshly prepared dishes at breakfast as well as an excellent dinner accompanied by a delicious wine, very well recommended by our waitress. All the staff were helpful and charming and the house itself had a homely feel. Lovers of good food and wine and those who appreciate beauty should find this a delight. We thought it perfect!

Nicest place around the area. Cuisine is superb. Wine selection very curated and the service is top notch. Worth more than a visit.

We had a wonderful long weekend's stay at Villa Giulia. It was so peaceful and quiet, and in beautiful countryside, with a view of the sea stretching out in the distance. Our room was very comfortable, the gardens were beautiful and the pool cool.

The location and views are amazing, and the rooms/apartments are very special. But the service was definitely not up to par! First, the apartment was not equipped with basics (e.g. no colander for the pasta, no oil or salt, the moka machine was broken, etc.), then the cleaners came only once in 4 days, which can be problematic if you have a baby and nappies start piling up (even more when it's Summer and warm). Only after our stay I was told that there were other bins on the side of our flat (not visible from the entrance), but...how could I have discovered them myself? Furthermore, if we are paying the same every day, it's the minimum that a cleaner comes every day to check that the flat is fine, and if needed do some cleaning...otherwise there should be a discout from the second day onward. All this is clearly problematic most of all considering the elevated price, which can be justified only with a 4* service. It has potential to be excellent but...not yet... The restaurant is also rather pricey, and definitely not recommended - you can eat much, much better with much, much less money in Fano. I ordered a caponata which was very unusual, and at best could be called a "ratatouille". The ravioli with black summer truffle had only 3-4 slices of truffle on top (yes, that was the extent of the truffle content of the dish), which were absolutely insufficient considering that it's the truffle season and the dish costs 18 euros. The day before, not so far from here (albeit in a less nice location), we had a similar dish which actually tasted of truffle and costed significantly less. The gnocchi were good and definitely hand made, but the condiment (butter and sage, not much of it) was again rather disappointing - we had to ask for the parmesan, as well as for oil, salt and pepper, as these were not on the table, nor brought by the waiters when the relevant dishes arrived. The only exceptional thing is the view... I note that the response of the owner to this review, instead of being apologetic, was rather aggressive, insinuating that, for example, we didn't like the restaurant as our taste is not refined enough, preferring cheap food rather than good one...I find this even worse that our actual experience, and if I had some doubts before, I can confirm that we will definitely not be coming back

Our second visit. It’s rare to find this lovely combination of grand style mixed with casual ambience. Fabulous food, big pool, lovely trims with frescoes painted by the owner. You won’t be disappointed. Great base for exploring the seaside resort towns that date back to Roman times. Day trip to Urbino’s Renaissance glory is a must.
