Sulla collina, sopra l’area archeologica nell’ingresso nord del paese, troviamo il faro Capo Stilo o Punta Stilo, ultimamente lasciato a se stesso in abbandono e in degrado marciante. Peccato e' un simbolo storico , militare e affettivo che meriterebbe luce di valorizzazione e non buio di abbandono. Speriamo che presto venga curato e gestito come un tempo quando luccicava di luce propria e non riflessa. We are located on the Ionian coast of Reggio, going south, in the first town of the metropolitan city of Reggio Calabria, precisely in Monasterace Marina, a town that remains immersed in the sea, since it is located on the tip of the coast, on Punta Stilo. On the hill, above the archaeological area in the north entrance of the town, we find the Capo Stilo or Punta Stilo lighthouse, recently left to itself in abandonment and in marching decay. Sin is a historical, military and emotional symbol that deserves the light of appreciation and not the darkness of abandonment. We hope that it will soon be treated and managed as it once did when it shone with its own light and not reflected.
