★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una cittadella nella città. Questa è la grande Manifattura tabacchi di Firenze che fino agli inizi del 2000.era ancora attiva. La visita al suo Interno è una vera rivelazione. La manifattura vantava vari edifici adibiti alla lavorazione del famoso sigaro toscano. Una fermata collegata alla vicina ferroviaria per transitare i manufatti. E tanti altri servizi. Di tutto ciò rimane funzionante l'asilo nido ideato per le lavoratrici interne. Adesso grandi progetti insistono sull'area che già accoglie Polimoda, istituto superiore di moda, atelier di artisti, bar, ristoranti ecc
