L'entrata è gratuita, tuttavia per una visita adeguata conviene chiamare e richiedere una guida competente. Nel comune di Fiumefreddo, per una completezza delle informazioni, c'è un artista che lavora il papiro del fiume ed è un cantastorie molto bravo disponibile per le visite. Spiaggia di sassolini che degradano in un mare limpidissimo, pulito, trasparente non gelato ma assolutamente fresco che ti invita a stare tanto tempo in ad ammollo. Da ritornare sicuramente. Beautiful free beach a stone's throw from the road, bordered by a scrub of eucalyptus trees. A beach of pebbles that degrade into a very clear, clean, transparent, not frozen but absolutely fresh sea that invites you to soak for a long time. Definitely to return.

Percorso a piedi , si può osservare la pianta del papiro immersa nel piccolo fiume naturale chiamato "Fiumefreddo " perché appunto l'acqua è sempre gelida e che dà il nome all' omonimo comune ( Fiumefreddo di Sicilia). Lungo il percorso del fiume, ampia vegetazione cresciuta spontanea e quasi alla foce un ponticello che unisce le due sponde di vecchia costruzione. Ci sarebbe molto da scrivere su questo angolo di riserva naturale e che ha ispirato diversi pittori e poeti. Great nature reserve place. Walking on foot, you can see the papyrus plant immersed in the small natural river called "Fiumefreddo" because the water is always freezing and which gives its name to the homonymous municipality (Fiumefreddo di Sicilia). Along the course of the river, large vegetation has grown spontaneously and almost at the mouth a bridge that joins the two banks of an old building. E' un ecosistema molto raro in cui crescono spontaneamente innumerevoli specie vegetali tra cui cannuccia, carice, giunco e il papiro. E' anche zona di sosta per un moltitudine di uccelli che migrano dall'Africa verso altre zone umide siciliane. Very cold water course, just 2 km long, fed by two springs which, due to their shape, are called "Quadare" (Quadara: Cauldron, large pot). It is a very rare ecosystem in which innumerable plant species spontaneously grow, including straw, sedge, rush and papyrus. It is also a staging area for a multitude of birds migrating from Africa to other Sicilian wetlands.
