I knew Castellabate even before the success of the film Welcome to the South. A hilltop village where you can enjoy a beautiful view from the Belvedere. The charm of the ancient alleys then .... a show. To visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Castellabate is a lovely small town high up overlooking the sea. The town has very narrow pedestrian area with many steps and small shops and restaurants dotted around. Worth a visit if in the area. Arrived by car from inland road then took the zig zag road down to the main coastal road.
