An efficient and fairly well kept station with a nice adjacent bar very useful in winter for those waiting for the train.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ la stazione, per essere di una cittadina, non è così male. Prettamente utilitaristico (pendolaristico) l'utilizzo...quindi tutto sommato ridotto...peccato, con poche modifiche potrebbe dare molto di più, specialmente d'estate, con la Delizia del Verginese sul raccordo Portomaggiore - Dogato (purtroppo non più in utilizzo passeggeri, non essendo stato pubblicizzato abbastanza) e con la reale possibilità che ci sarebbe di arrivare al mare, a Pomposa (vedi anche Abbazia), sfruttando il traffico turistico almeno d'estate (e l'armamento arriva fino a Pomposa in realtà) scelta che per il momento non è ancora stata implementata...il servizio della Ferrara-Codigoro termina infatti a Codigoro e non è quindi più accessibile da Portomaggiore, nonostante il raccordo sia costato tanto in termini economici e di tempo...insomma le infrastrutture ci sarebbero ma sono male utilizzate secondo me, con mentalità troppo provinciale
the station, for being of a small town, is not so bad. Purely utilitarian (commuting) use ... so all in all reduced ... too bad, with a few modifications it could give much more, especially in summer, with the Delizia del Verginese on the Portomaggiore - Dogato link (unfortunately no longer in use passengers, not having been advertised enough) and with the real possibility that there would be to get to the sea, in Pomposa (see also Abbey), taking advantage of tourist traffic at least in summer (and the armament reaches up to Pomposa actually) choice which for the moment has not yet been implemented ... the Ferrara-Codigoro service ends in Codigoro and is therefore no longer accessible from Portomaggiore, despite the connection costing so much in economic and time terms ... in short, the infrastructure would be but are badly used in my opinion, with too provincial mentality
