We got takeaway through the Glovo App and sushi was great. Haven't had the chance to eat there yet, but I've been told it is amazing.

Very disappointing experience. I've read great reviews about this place and how "authentic" it is compared to the actual Japanese cuisine. There's no chance of reserving a seat in advance, so we had to pay in advance and sit outside in February, and the heating wasn't on. We had to wait for 30 minutes before the main dishes were delivered to our table, and the orders weren't as described on the menu: I ordered yakitori jyu that was supposed to have side dishes (vegetables) and fruit, but I only received miso soup with rice and meat. It was tasty but not worth its (quite high) price, even considering the setting (freezing in the middle of the street). Uramaki seemed just as in any other all you can eat/buffet panasian restaurant, probably the fish is just more fresh and tasty - but I couldn't really tell. I've been in Japan and other East Asian countries before, not only as a tourist, and going to Poporoya really didn't remind me any of that, not even the tastes. Overall, it's an experience I wouldn't repeat.

It was a bit confusing on how to order but you’re supposed to look at the menu outside and order at the door. The chirashi is different from the ones in japan with the rice a type of mushy rice with salmon embedded. It tasted pretty good.

Real izakaya experience in Milan, always worth stopping by! Funny, good service and good quality price ratio.

Amazing experience having dinner at Poporoya! The staff is super gentle, and they have a really quick service. The food is outstanding, and the inside is really vintage. Perfect place to have a chill evening eating traditional Japanese food!

Authentic Japanese food in a street style;) waiting to get a table was a pain as they designed a difficult process: first order then be seated… it created a long chaotic queue due to its system. Plus it was a bit of a problem to maintain only one line with the Italian;)

Hits and misses. The sushi is the right taste but rice is rolled too loose. Tempura is just right but tempura sauce is tasteless. Gyoza is good but not the best gyoza I’ve had. Chirashi is excellent and can’t find any fault, the rice used is not white rice thou. We also had sake which was great. We arrived around 8pm and was able to find a table so one of us sat down and the other went to order. Tables are all outdoor. After 8.30pm there was a long queue. Payment is made after the meal. The waiters will call out your name when bringing the food to your table. One didn’t wear his mask to cover his mouth. They also sell some Japanese products which is great as those products are made in Japan. I think this should be one of the very few authentic Japanese restaurants in Milan.

Authentic but disappointed especially after long queue waiting. The sushi and chirashi is rightly done but I don’t understand why they put so much rice and it was loosen already. The maki was pre-prepared and the nori is already soggy. I’d rather they increase the price to serve me more than just salmon and other common fish
