Ottimo. Santa Lucia Filippini festa 25 marzo Vergine, fondantrice : “Maestre Pie” Lucia Filippini nasce il 13 gennaio 1672 a Tarquinia. I suoi genitori erano di onesta e onorata famiglia; ma la sua vita fu presto segnata dal dolore poiché, quando Lucia aveva undici mesi, muore madre. Pochi anni dopo anche il padre moriva. Lucia, da queste perdite così dolorose, prese motivo per stringersi più fortemente a Dio e darsi all’acquisto delle più belle virtù. Modesta ugualmente scansava le amicizie delle compagne cattive che avvelenano coi loro vizi le anime innocenti e si guardava dalla vanità. Tutto le parlava di Dio: il cielo, il mare, le campagne stesse di Tarquinia. Ancora in giovane età fece gran tesoro dell’apostolato catechismo. A 16 anni ebbe incontro con il cardinale Marcantonio Barbarigo e, avuti da lui lumi e consigli, decise di entrare nel monastero di S. Chiara in Montefiascone. Questa fu la palestra dove si formò. Prima nella cerchia ristretta del chiostro poi, con l’aiuto del cardinale Barbarigo, dietro le norme di Rosa Venerini (canonizzata da Pp Benedetto XVI il 15 ottobre 2006) e con la cooperazione di una piissima signora, realizzò il suo piano apostolico, dando origine al benefico e non mai abbastanza lodato ministero educativo delle suore che, dalla loro madre, si denominarono “Maestre Pie Filippine”. Presto venne a mancare Rosa Venerini, e Lucia sola continuò l’opera. Aprì parecchie scuole a Montefiascone, estese gli istituti a Roma, su richiesta (1707) di Pp Clemente XI (Giovanni Francesco Albani, 1700-1721), e in altri centri d’Italia, e ne costituì parecchi anche all’estero, particolarmente nell’America del Nord, dove tuttora lavorano con grande frutto. Consunta dalle fatiche, ricca di meriti, spira dolcemente, a Montefiascone, il 25 marzo del 1732. Papa Pio XI (Ambrogio Damiano Achille Ratti, 1922-1939) nel 1926 l’annoverò tra i Beati e, il 22 giugno 1930, l’iscrisse nel catalogo delle Sante Vergini.
