★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I did a lot of research on selecting vineyards that were unique and what I loved about this was that they are biodynamic, have a bonsai vineyard and have olive oil. The owner is also Francesco Illy if you are familiar with Illy coffee.
Biodynamic:
Uncontaminated soil and the wine processes happen in a 100% ecological wine cellar, built to have zero impact on the environment.
Bonsai:
It is the densest vineyard in the world meaning the vines are planted very close together which produce a very unique tasting wine.
Tour & Tasting:
We did a tour of the vineyard, pagoda, cellar and did the actual tasting inside the tasting room by the terrace. We went to about 9 wineries while in Tuscany and Podere le Ripi had one of the most memorable tours.

with delicious Parmesan cheese, bread and olive oil.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and made us feel right at home.
We ended up buying 2 bottles plus a bottle of olive oil.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were taken on a tour by Giovanni their winemaker. What an incredible experience. From the vineyard where they have one section with unheard of plant density to the cellar which will amaze even the most seasoned winery visitor. I dont want to give away the surprise but you must experience the effect by standing in the middle of the dome at the bottom of the cellar and speaking. We are both wine judges and we were both impressed by both the winery and the wines. It is a bit out of the way but well worth the effort to get there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently spent an afternoon touring the beautiful vineyard and incredible cellar that had quite a story behind the scientific and architectural engineering to build it. Our guide was knowledgeable about the area and the wines . The wine tasting paired with a lovely lunch was perfect. The wines were fantastic and staff unbelievably friendly.Not to mention the fact the wonderful staff and family that own/run the vineyard went above and beyond when are car got stuck taking a wrong turn in rainy weather. This was not an easy task which ended up requiring two tractors and a lot of man power. I was amazed at the kindness that was extended to two random customers that lost their way on the trek to the vineyard. If you have time for only one wine tasting and tour in Tuscany this should be your pick. I am forever grateful to the staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not much explanations and overpriced. It gave us the impression of being a young and pretentious vineyard, lacking the authenticity and politeness that you could expect with this range of pricing.
Very disappointed with our experience there. We booked a wine tasting and tour which is said to last 1h30 on their website. It barely lasted 30 minutes even though we asked a lot of questions. Our guide looked bored and left us alone several times to chat with her colleagues.
