You have to go upstairs for this hidden gem. Right next to the famous Giolitti, the restaurant offers traditional Roma cuisine for relatively cheap compared to other restaurants in the area. Get the mussels. The manager is also very chill. Had a nice conversation with him.

The food is excellent. We had the carbonara and gnocchi which were the best we'd ever had. The Roman meatballs were superb although too much for us after the pasta. Our fault for being too greedy! The service was very good, the gentlemen serving very pleasant. We would happily return.

Just next to the famous Giolitti, we discovered by chance this heavenly hostaria. With locals coming in for lunch even well after 2pm, it shows that this place was very much sought for its genuine cucina romana! Alla prossima...and do remember to ring that bell ?

This restaurant is amazing. The owner was so nice to my whole family. The food is amazing. Especially the black truffle sauce noodles and black truffle sauce on the filet.

This hidden gem was amongst the best restaurants we have been in Italy. The roast piglet, no words could describe the crispness of the skin and how the pork had virtually no bad smell to it. The person, aka veal tail was another treat. I am so over the typical pasta, pizzeria. And if you want something authentic, it's one place you must try. The place had no music, that's ok. The good food made up for it.

This place had amazing authentic Italian food. Just good old traditional cooking! It’s next to Famous Giolotti gelato place (which is a great after dinner dessert). This unassuming restaurant was our favorite on our trip to Rome that we ate here two nights out of five nights we were here. The spaghetti w clams was made great w garlic n fresh clean tasting clams. The awesome I mean awesome white wine steamed clams and mussels was amazing! The seafood was fresh and that left over broth was so flavorful! Linguini w shrimp was verrry good, shrimp was clean not muddy tasting. The basic I mean basic pasta w tomatoes garlic and pepper flake was simple and just awesome. No cheese or protein needed just basic great good food! Had tiramisu for dessert and very good . Home made w added chocolate shavings on top. Yummmmm! I could have eaten 2 servings! Go eat here! You won’t be disappointed! This was by far our favorite restaurant! Old school traditional w the chefs being old school too.

The food was well priced and had some great flavours. We ordered the fusilli pasta, the gnocchi and the chicken. All were delicious and well priced. The restaurant looks like the cottage out of Hansel and Gretel, cured ham legs, fresh garlic and chili hanging from the iron gate that once locked the little piggies in (now their legs deliciously hang from the ceiling).
