C'erano i chioschi natalizi che vendevano il tè, ma ho preferito andare al bar per scegliere quello che preferivo, invece mi sono dovuta accontentare.

I was served an infusion of my choice that I honestly didn't like.
There were Christmas kiosks that sold tea, but I preferred to go to the bar to choose what I preferred, instead I had to settle.
